I've been keeping bees for 8 years with 20-25 colonies and finally decided to get a "real" bee jacket. This one is nicely ventilated and fits well. I'm 5'1" and 110 lbs and the Small fits me perfectly, I like my clothes a little big and that's how this fits. I figured out that the elastic on the hat part of the veil goes on the outside, sort of on my forehead. That made it fit well. I would like the hat to be a little bigger because I wear a baseball cap and it's too snug for that. But it does fit and stays on my head when I use the hat band elastic correctly. The zippers are sturdy and elastic strong. It's a nice jacket, well-made. Also, the customer service from the seller was outstanding. I originally ordered a Medium and it was too big. Amazon didn't have any Smalls so I contacted the seller. They were really helpful and offered to ship me a Small. Then, Amazon posted that they had Smalls available again so I just ordered from Amazon and returned my Medium to Amazon. But the seller was SUPER nice. You don't see great customer service very often anymore and the seller was outstanding. Overall, a great bee jacket. Highly recommend!

After trying one of the "knock offs" for a full ventilated bee jacket, I found myself very dissatisfied and decided to go ahead and get a good one. This jacket is 5 times better quality, better zippers, better fit, and overall a great value for what you are getting. The wide brim hat is a big plus for me as is the full wraparound veil as the heat in Florida can get intense and having that open area for ventilation is great. Even though this seems heavy, it's ventilation is excellent and the protection is great too from some nasty stings. I wish now I had saved the $$ on the other one and bought this one first.

I had to go with a size too large because I needed it right away and a 1-x was not available. It's lightweight and should do quite well in the heat of summer. And it still has enough room for light jackets in the spring and fall. Easy enough to get on, and it stops the bees. Plenty of field of view.

Last summer, my mom was weed whacking on the edge of their property and angered a wasps nest. She didn't notice until way too late and my dad found her in the bathroom later sobbing from the attack. She is a very brave and strong lady, but was so shaken from the experience that she would just layer herself in an unbelievable amount of clothing to work in that area, which also meant she couldn't do it when it was hot out without feeling stifled and exhausted. She's a go go go personality so I knew a full bee suit wouldn't work as she'd never take the time to put on the full to-do. This jacket was a perfect solution. It's made up of a several netted layers so it allows her to stay safe while also staying cool. She can also take off the head piece if it's too much of a hassle for her. But, to my surprise, she actually loves the head piece (which probably has something to do with my dad telling her she looked cool in it haha). Anyway, I'm just happy to know she has it on hand when she needs and can live her life without fear of the wasps anymore. I got a 2XL so that my dad can also use it if he needs to as well :)

Love this jacket. Not only is it vented for air, but the 360 degree view in the veil is the best. The only problem with it was the purchase itself. I ordered one for myself. It was around $72.00. Then I ordered one as a gift in Medium, also approx. $72.00. The second time around they sent me the wrong size. A large. There was no option to exchange for a medium. Only "Would you like us to send you the same exact thing?"... Well, "NO, I thought... I don't want a Large again...I want the medium I ordered. So I sent it back, and tried to order the medium, but when I went to reorder the price went up nearly $20.00 more!!! I was so mad. My friend really wanted this, so as Christmas neared, I got off my wallet, and paid the $20. extra. If Amazon would have sent the right size to begin with, It would have been all good. So technically, I give 1 star to the idiot who sent me a Large when I clearly ordered a medium. . . and went through all that trouble to send it back and reorder, costing me another $20. when they raised the price overnight. If there was an option to exchange properly, where I could explain... no I don't want the same exact, WRONG size again... Just exchange for a medium, at the price I already paid, I would have been very happy and given 10 stars... because this is a very excellent product...

This is excellent quality, triple layered and the 360° view from the veil is so much better than the fencing style I have. It’s still warm, but not having the pant portion helps some. It seems true to size, but I like things with room so it checked that box for me. I’m really pleased with the quality, I feel it will last me a long time. I hope I can keep my bees alive and well that long. lol!
