Compared to the slide in dog doors, this is a great deal albeit somewhat of a permanent solution. The quality seems pretty good, with the door flaps being slightly larger and thicker feeling than my current door. The plastic surrounds and internal box are made from good quality materials also. It comes with a very comprehensive installation guide and full size templates in the package. However, after reading the guide, it was clear that I might need a bit of professional help for the place I intended to install it (stucco wall, and an electrical outlet that needs relocating). The guide also pointed out that I might need additional materials to weatherproof the outside which are not included in the kit. The two items of concern for me are: - The longevity of the long flexible nylon (I think) screws that attach the outside and inside plates to each other. - The availability of replacement flaps. I have confidence that most installs will be straightforward and DIYable, especially with such detailed instructions, but sine my case is complicated, I've put it off until I can be sure. Once I get some professional help with the install, I'll come back and update this review.

I installed the Petcoming 3-Flap Dog Door in our laundry room wall, and it’s been a total game-changer for both me and my 85-pound lab mix. This 3-flap rust proof dog door has proven to be durable and invaluable not just for my 2 dogs, but my cats as well. I did not feel comfortable installing this door on my own, more because of cutting the wall. The door itself came with easy to follow instructions and all of the materials needed for a clean and flush fit into a standard interior drywall space. Once I was able to book a professional installer, this door was installed without issue and quickly. The installer remarked how quality and well made this pet door is. The 3 flaps are key, especially the insulated flap! This door is installed in a small hallway wall that leads into a garage but the flaps keep the heat and unwanted critters out of the house. I originally wanted this door to provide the cats access to the garage and their litter boxes, which has been a game changer. They are strong and can push through/pull on the flaps so I don't have to worry about them getting trapped in the hot garage. My Lab/Dane does not fit through the door comfortably. But my Cattle dog does and she finds solace in the garage during lightening storms (she hates seeing the flashes of lightening). The magnet strength is strong but not overpowering. This door allows for more independence for the 3 cats and 1 dog. It looks nice as well. The included pet rescue stickers are thoughtful and I have placed them on the outside garage door and front door.

Same review but different color! This is about the white doggy door listed. I also bought the black doggy door for another door in another building of mine on the premises so they could go in and out. The same information applies here. This matches the door this is going in much better! I didn't see a need to repeat on a color change. The quality is there in both. Seriously! I have large dogs. I needed larger doors for them as they keep hurting their paws on the smaller doors currently in use. Same time the doors are different colors on different buildings so I had to get a couple of colors. I am glad I did as these doggy doors are well worth it. We had a single flap that got destroyed in just a few months after installing my third one, and so I decided that going with the 3-flap door would be best also for insulation against heat/cold coming in as well. The plastic frame is pretty heavy duty and the flaps are nice and thick too for a long lasting time (I hope!). I am going to to have to take the door down and cut a larger square into the door for the taller size of the doggy door but I am used to it. I only hope it stands up against their constant going in and out. The security slide door is rather thin honestly as my current one is thicker which has me a little concerned, but not many will come through the door if they knew what was waiting them. This is an honest price for this quality of doggy door and well worth it. I would even get this dog door even if you dog is a medium dog (if they are having cuts and open wounds or even scabs on their feet and legs, they NEED a larger door is the problem). This is the solution.
