Top Amazon Reviews

  • A versatile tool for viewing those hard to see areas. This should be in everyone's tool box.
Featured is NIDAGE's 3.9mm Endoscope Camera with Light made available by Amazon & Vine for review. I have been looking for a good endoscope to use around the home and shop for various projects. I have tried one in the past that plugged into my Smartphone after installing an app for it. Needless to say it was frustrating and never worked so I was glad to see the stand alone Nidage's endoscope being offered here. An order was placed. Upon its arrival I received the Nidage endoscope viewer that featured a 4.3 inch hand held view screen and a 5 foot long probe cable with the 3.9mm camera. The cable has two small Velcro style straps for cable management and a vinyl cap for protecting the camera when not in use. Also included in the box was a User Manual and a USB C charging cable. Prior my first use I charged it. There is a handy indicator light on the hand held viewer that displays red during the charge and then turns off when done. The hand held unit also features controls for ON/OFF, Zoom, Brightness and rotating the image which I found helpful. The 3.9mm camera and cable has a IP67 rating for dust and water protection. Basically what that means is the camera is rated to be in water up to 1 meter in depth for 30 minutes or less. Although the camera is only 3.9mm in size I found the screen display was very good for my purposes. The image was sharp and clear and it allowed me to see detail that was hidden from normal view. I like that in the corner of the screen there was a small icon to show the charge level of the battery. Unfortunately there is no option for saving pictures. Not a deal breaker, but the inclusion of an SD card slot in the hand held viewer would be a very nice feature. Overall I have no complaints. I'm very happy with this endoscope and recommend it. . ... show more

  • It works but not great video quality.
Pretty easy plug and play unit. Just turn it on and start scoping. I took one star off for the quality of the video display. At this price point, it's not that surprising.

  • Uhm ... WOW!
I just received this inspection camera today. On reading the (predictably) a bit small print for me they tell me to be sure it's fully charged. This took about half an hour and when the red light goes out it's charged. The instructions also caution against using the camera while the camera lead is coiled, saying this can damage the structure and result in poor image or partial disconnection. I assume they're talking about disconnection of the power to the LEDs in the end or possibly heat. That thing about not coiling is a bit puzzling because the lead comes held by two small hook and loop straps in about a 3" coil in the box. So, taking them at their word I carefully straightened the semi-rigid light pipe and hit the power button. WOW! This camera produces a sharp image, well lit (brightness is adjustable) from over a foot away to reading the fine print on a medicine bottle! The image seems to be self-focusing or has a highly varied focal range. I can't detect it adjusting while it remains sharp and clear. Another button rotates the image in steps while something I pressed a bit longer produced a menu for language, brightness, etc. Give me a break? I have five minutes with it. I don't expect anything but smug happiness, but if I learn something pertinent I'll update the review. I'll store this highly desirable inspection camera with the very handy length hanging straight to avoid any chance of damage and first use it to inspect the cylinders of a vehicle that's been sitting since 2013. I can't think of a better tool for this. I'm thrilled at the extremely low price for what it delivers! ... show more

  • Best tool to find lost items
This tool is super useful around the house to find lost items as well as peer into areas looking for problems ie down the sink drain, inside electronics, rattles in your car etc. The tool is light weight and easy to use. The color display is good resolution to do the job but I wouldn't say super crisp. The length of fiber optic cable is great to reach a few feet plus. I didn't measure the exact length. The cable is bendable to help route the camera where you need. The camera on the end works really well and there are controls to turn on a light on the camera end, magnify, rotate the view. Please note, when the light is turned on, the end of the camera does get warm. The pictures included with this review are basic and the capabilities of this tool are endless and beneficial! One pic is showing my shoes on the floor. Another pic, I inserted the cable into a dark drawer that has a bunch of batteries I store. Overall, for the price point, this tool is incredible and will help you both figure out problems as well as find lost items. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Clear image and overall handy tool to have around
This NIDAGE endoscope camera sure is a mighty helpful tool to have around the garage. The 3.9mm tip squeezes into tight spots like a raccoon in a chicken coop, and the picture on that 4.3" screen is clear as a bell—none of that fuzzy nonsense. The light’s bright, the cable’s stiff enough to hold its shape, and it’s waterproof too, in case things get messy. Used it to peek into my truck engine and even down a clogged drain... worked like a charm. All in all, it’s a solid little workhorse and useful tool for any tinkerer or mechanic. ... show more
