    • Slipping head and arms may prove challenging for this budget gorget

This faux leather Gorget has some challenging obstacles that might be an issue for some cosplayers. First the neck hole is kind of tight and people with ears that stick out or a large head may have some difficulty. This also has elastic arm holes that might night fit on larger frames. You don't need them but if you are going shirtless you might want them. The weathered look is a nice detail and I think this looks good over a fur stol or perhaps a tunic. The Gorget is very broad so I don't recommend large paldrons that go above the shoulders. I think this costume piece fits with a simple streamlined knights tabard, a belt and bracers with maybe a fur stole or a cloak. You could also go full barbarian and wear it with no shirt as it does cover a large portion of the chest. Its versatile but will often be a piece you work around as opposed to an accessory that you use to add to your kit. This is a budget price for budget quality faux leather. I wouldn't wear it in the rain and be mindful of the sweat as to not compromise its durability. ... show more

This is better than I expected. I mean, I don't think it will be especially useful for invading Gaul and battling barbarians, but for your annual Ren Faire I give it five huzzahs. The PU is reasonably leathery, the rivets look riveting, and at a distance it appears to have been through enough trauma to need counseling and Zoloft. This could be used in a Hollywood production without any complaints from the history buffs. It has elastic straps to go under your arms, not to prevent it from floating away but to keep it from rotating. It's easy to put on or take off, and fairly comfortable--don't expect a cashmere scarf, though, because this is a replica of actual armor commonly used centuries ago. because it is constructed of two flat sheets roughly laced together, it will lay flat for storage. This will pair up nicely with some rustic clothing and a good sword belt or perhaps a bow and quiver. ... show more

A staple of many different armor styles, this is a great finishing touch. Tested and fits at least up to 4xl shirt size and is adjustable. Elevates a lot of different larp armor styles instantly. Chainmail would look great under it, or fake chainmail.

Absolutely sick to wear. Could take a decent chest punch with it on which was cool as its just thin leather material. Definitely not made for being functional, defintely for costumes. Appearance: shoulder laces just look like boot lace lol. Which is a bit tacky personally. The under arm straps are GENIUS.
