This is not too thick at all. Fairly soft to the touch. Has a slight smell upon opening that will go away after a few days. I put it under my desk for my office chair to roll on. Does the trick.

This 6' x 9' rug is about $90, which considering the size, is not a bad deal at all. Don’t get me wrong! It’s a very thin rug, but it’s soft to the touch (at least while it’s new). We’ll have to see what time and use will do to its feel, but for now, it works really well for my needs. I received the black and grey version. It’s supposed to be an abstract pattern, but it reminds me of peeling or chipped cement, or a skim-coated wall that shows rough, stony layers underneath. I quite like it. It gives off a modern/contemporary look but could still work in a more traditional setting thanks to its neutral colors. With its white background, the rug is light enough that it doesn’t darken my already dim entry/dining area, but also dark in parts to help hide dirt and stains. Since this rug lives in a high-use area, I think the pattern will help camouflage some of that wear. It’s billed as machine washable, but at this size, I don’t plan to put it in my washer. Even with a large machine, the rug’s weight when wet could be a problem. I’ll probably hang it over a railing outside and use a high-pressure stream from a hose. Since it’s thin, it should drip dry quickly and may be light enough by that point to go into the dryer for a thorough dry. Being thin also has some unexpected perks. I can flip the rug easily to vacuum the underside (though moving the dining table on top of it is a different story). I also don’t have to worry about stains sinking deep into thick fibers. Cleaners and disinfectants can penetrate more easily, too. The rubber backing helps keep it in place, and I haven’t had any issues with the corners curling up. When vacuuming, I don’t worry about catching an edge or shifting the rug around. Sure, I’d love it if it were a bit more plush, but overall, this rug feels like a solid upgrade from my previous one (which cost more than this one). Not bad at all!

I really like this rug. The design has a cool, artsy look—kind of like a faded painting with soft swirls. I placed it right in front of my couch and window so the sunlight could enjoy it too. When I first rolled it out, it hit the floor with a big THUNK—so loud, my cat ran for his life; drama king. But about ten minutes later, there he was, stretched out, belly up, claiming it like he paid for it. Looks like I’m gonna have to fight him for it now… in my own living room. There were zero weird smells when I opened it—not even that factory scent some rugs have. I plan to use a stiff broom/brush with a light spray of soap and water every few days instead of a vacuum, just to keep it in good shape. It’s in a low-traffic area, so it should stay clean for the most part. The non-slip backing is great—it stays put on my hardwood floors, even with pets zooming around. It’s not super thick, which I actually prefer because it’s easier to clean and doesn’t trap dust. Any wrinkles from shipping flatten out quickly if you fold it the other way and press it down. Overall, it’s soft, stylish, and low-maintenance—definitely a win in my book. The price is really great for what you are getting, I am please as punch all around.

This 6x9 area rug is exactly what my living room needed! The grey color is a perfect neutral, and the abstract pattern adds a modern touch without being too bold. Very attractive rug and the size is great! It works fabulous in my foyer. It is extremely soft. The only downfall is that it is a little bottle slippery on the top, could definitely slip with socks on. It is very functional for the space, however.
