The door is definitely decent quality material wise... but bought this because I go to work at 4:30 am and want my ladies out all day... just to come home to the door not open at all... because it won't latch properly on the rungs for it to be open. Also it sometimes opens back up after it closes for the night... I really want to like it, I was very excited... but for how much I paid for it I expected better... It says to unscrew the face to put in batteries but the screws are stripped and will not unscrew. I cannot put in batteries and the original batteries are already dead and I haven’t even put it up yet!

The Automatic Door was very easy to install. In fact it only took me 5 minutes, and that was because I was being super careful. The aluminum door and frame seems sturdy enough for my chickens and the digital was simple to modify. It was as easy as setting a clock. I like the fact that the mode of operation offers several options, from dusk to dawn operation, to a manual time, and lux adjustment suitable for your area and season of the year. This door keeps me from having to let the chickens in and out 2x a day. It works exactly as described. Make sure you have AAA batteries. Their solar panel is sold out or I would have opted for that as well, but the batteries are supposed to last 6 months.
