Bought a special flickering LED light for Halloween but realized after I got it, it was a smaller base than a regular bulb. Bought these and easily twisted the bulb in it and then into the socket and it works with no problem.

We recently purchased a vintage glass lamp to use as a bedroom nightlight. We tried a very low wattage bulb in the glass light when it arrived (the lamp is lovely) but that bulb proved to be too bright to function well as a night light. It's also apparently not medically good for you to sleep with any prominent light on in the room- some studies say ANY light on while you are sleeping is detrimental to health- so there was that aspect as well to our hunt for more a more subdued bulb for our new "futuristic" Deco lamp. I thought of the little bulbs that look like clear Christmas bulbs that are standard for night lights, and wanted to use one of those in the new lamp. But the candelabra base of the tiny bulb would not fit the standard (E26) socket of the vintage lamp. Good old Amazon to the rescue! We just removed the too-bright bulb from the lamp, screwed one of the small candelabra-based clear nightlight bulbs into the adapter, then screwed the adapter with the little bulb into the vintage lamp. That night, we switched on the vintage lamp with the small nightlight bulb now installed in it courtesy of this adapter- and it was perfect! The light from the glittering glass lamp was now enough illumination to allow us to see during the night, but not so bright that it was intrusive. There were also a few stray candelabra-based bulbs in our bulb drawer that had been useless prior to these adapters. So those bulbs were now able to be salvaged. These sockets seem to be decently constructed, and appear that they will last for a few years at least. In fact, we plan to order a few more soon. Very pleased with our purchase! ... show more

A friend gave me a statue of a golfer standing by a lamppost. It was cute, but the lamp-post light was way too bright. Besides, I thought it would look better with a flicker bulb. And I just happen to have some flicker candelabra bulbs. But they wouldn't fit the full-size socket. A quick Amazon search and I found an adapter to solve the problem Two days later, problem solved and Mr. Golfer looks great standing under a flickering lamp. While I more commonly need to go from the candelabra socket to a standard Edison base in this case I wanted to use smaller candelabra LED lights in a standard Edison base. These units looked sturdy enough to last for years in the service I plan to put them to so the convenience of not having to look for candelabra sockets that would work in my situation made these a perfect fit. ... show more

I've used this adapter to convert a small table lamp that normally uses standard higher wattage light bulbs to smaller night light bulbs at the top of our stairs. It screws into the lamp socket and the smaller bulb then screws into the adapter.

The media could not be loaded. They didn't make this bulb for my lamp so I bought this adapter. It's great! I use it often and no problems. I had to use a rubber gripper that opens jars to remove it though. That's fine wth me though.
