And for the longest time I had a hard time finding ones that wouldn't break every 6 months or so. Due to the fact that these are metal, they're very sturdy, and you can tighten them down quite a bit.

    • Great replacement toilet seat screws
If you live with a toilet flopper, chances are, eventually you're going to need to replace the flimsy plastic bolts that secure the toilet seat to the toilet bowl. Picked these up for such a hard hitting toilet user. They're easy to install, come with a few extra bits (there's a foam piece, the black one, to help you get a more secure fit but I found I didn't need them for my toilet) and hold tighter and better than plastic bolts do. I would recommend these, even if you or your household aren't hard on your toilet seats, just for that extra security. ... show more

    • Solid replacement set
This is a good, inexpensive replacement seat bolt set. Note that they are not brass but a treated steel screw. That will be fine for most installations. I used them in a Kohler low profile from the 80's where the nuts are inside the water tank. I coated the threads with a plumbing grease to help keep them corroding over time. They replaced brass which was completely encrusted with plastic nuts. I had to vice grip the old nylon nut and impact drive the screw out which is why I had to replace them. So, while I was concerned about replacing with steel that could rust, even brass was not easily removed due to the encrusting of the threads. I'm also replacing this during remodel next year so it was a good option for me.
