These things sling light! One picture is 100% whites and other 50%. turned all colors off except whites so I could get a good picture that wasn't washed out in blue. I did a light of research on these for the past couple years. There are some in-depth, over time, reviews in some of the reef forums with par readings at the different depths. It was with the RS90 lights, which are exactly the same with the exception of the Wi-Fi controller board that is inside. The owners swapped the the board out and the lights because RL90s. I have 5 on my 300g, which is all I would need, but with the design of the hood, I will need 6th to get even spacing. The app, takes getting used to as it is Smartlife and not proprietary to DSuny/PopBloom. They are extremely customizable, have settings to reduce algae, mimic lunar settings, coral acclimation, etc. The acclimation can be set to a % of the selected program, and for a time period of up to 99 days. The biggest issues with the many settings to choose from is you don't know the lighting curves are until you select and apply them. The different settings are just the same icon, and not actually thumbnails. All in all, I have ZERO regrets and have even shown them to some friends, and even an fish store. They are extremely interested in them as well for their price point, especially with my pictures and the in-depth review previously mentioned which is on the Reef2Reef forums (search RS90 review, and should be first link). He has been using them for over 3 years and only issue was he had the power supplies fail around the 2-3 year mark (in the end, might have been his power strip's fault). They replaced them for free and and had him open and inspect them. The capacitors had failed in all 3. The replacements were of better quality and ran cooler. This even prompted the company to extended the PS warranty to 3 years for anyone who would have received the older PS. ... show more

Like the price. Easy programming with the app. Full day and night cycle. Montipora and stylophora are doing great so far. Just ordered a second one.

I have a popbloom led light and it was getting very hot. I disassembled to find under rated wiring with melting jacket and bad solder joints. In the trash is where these lights belong.
