This is a great product. Turns GX23 oulet into standard socket. Now I no longer have to put up with the florescent bulbs that burn out quickly and are expensive. Use BR30 leds now. Much brighter!

I recently bought a 4 pack of Commercial Electrical Recessed LED Trim Kits which are all dimmable, wet rated, and have Edison sockets. In my kitchen, 4 out of the 6 can lights have the matching sockets, so installing those are super quick and easy thanks to the spring clips. The last 2 cans have a 2-pin CFL socket. All the videos I watched on upgrading CFL cans involve cutting both sockets and splicing the matching wires togethers. I didn't wanna do all that since I can risk voiding warranties and dealing with splices outside a J-box. There must be a better and safer way to do this. Guess what? There is! I bought this adapter, followed its instructions (I simply bypassed the ballast in the housing's junction box), and plugged in each adapter into each can. Now all 6 cans have the same socket for the LED lighting. ... show more

    • works great! but the socket may be a bit lose
despite what it says about need to remove ballasts. the converter works with my all E26 LED and CFL lights. so that works great. the only issue is that base is a bit lose once it is attached to the socket. consider the weight of the LED light plus socket itself, i hope the base is slightly larger to have more secure attachment. ... show more

    • Perfect adapter to use regular bulbs
Used for my front porch light. Put an LED bulb in it. I like that I can just swap a regular bulb instead of having to buy a specialty bulb.

One worked well the other is loose and the light keeps flickering on and off. Poor quality plastic.
