I ordered this by accident, I needed the 2.5" and accidentally ordered the 2". I'm going to keep it and one day build it up so I figured I'd add pictures of how everything fits together. So far everything looks good. The DJI 04 Air unit fits nice and the kit comes with a few nice TPU prints. So far the only thing I noticed is the mounting screws that came with the air unit camera were to short. I used a slightly longer machine screw and it seems to work fine. Just keep in mind not to tighten it to much and strip out the plastic. The original screws have a more aggressive thread for the plastic. Hope these pictures help. ... show more

    • Great budget frame
The HeelAooRC 2-inch APEX FPV frame is pretty standard. I haven’t quite finished this build, due to waiting on parts. The Betaflight F4 2- 3S 20A AIO FC fits pretty well. I chose an analog VTX and micro cam to keep the weight down. I wanted to go 3S with this build since it has plenty of deck space on the top. I’ll have to get creative with the antenna mount since the one that came with it is designed for DJI. The kit has some TPU mounts for the camera, antenna, and arms. The carbon on the frame is thin but designed for lightweight builds. The frame can easily accommodate an O3 or O4 air unit, and having the extra space for a bigger battery suits it. There are a few cons for this frame. For one, what it includes is pretty minimal. I have plenty of extra parts that help. For example, I like to have some standoffs for the FC and VTX to help with airflow and grounding. I also installed a battery pad and brought my battery straps because it didn’t come with either. I replaced the four screws on the top with tapered ones and created some taper sinks in the carbon. This creates a more flush plane on the top so the battery doesn’t get hung up on them. Overall, it's a very inexpensive frame. I ended up spending 20x the cost of parts on it, but this is typical for any build. Could it be better?
