Amazing lens, extremely compact. No comparison to any other lens design in 28mm. I still have to study the picture quality but it looks very good so far. Adjustment of distance is easy and ergonomic, of f-stop not. Solid brass construction. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a fun little lens I'm using on my Fuji X-Pro3. It's fairly easy to focus, but the aperture ring is so tiny and a bit hard to turn. The build quality is excellent, heavy for the size. The images have plenty of character, don't pixel peep too much, but are pleasing. I love vintage lenses so this fits right in. ... show more

I had been desiring a pancake-style lens for my MP240 for an extended period, but I hesitated to make the purchase. With the camera now being even sleeker than before, I find myself using it much more frequently. Although I would prefer a lens cap without a screw-on mechanism, the current sturdy design is noteworthy.     • A really good and sharp lens for a vintage-inspired lens
I'm using this lens adapted to my micro four-thirds DSLR camera. The lens then became a 56 mm lens on my MFT camera. This also seems to reduce most of the corner softness or chromatic aberration that a pancake lens can be prone to get. Given that I'm using the lens on the smaller sensor, I was able to take advantage of the sharpness in the center of the lens. I also love the vintage look of the lens and its low profile. Even with the depth of the adapter, the lens doesn't protrude much from the camera body at all. The one downside is the aperture ring is a bit hard to feel so I tend to have to turn the camera around to turn the aperture ring. Other than that I'm very happy with this lens and I plan on taking this to a hike in Las Vegas next month. I will update this review with some photos. ... show more

    • great price on a flat lens
Brightin Star sells really good lenses at really good prices. This turns my Leica into a grab 'n go camera I can travel with and not have to lug a big camera bag around. This flat lens is deceivingly hefty as it's crafted with brass like the old lenses were. The aperture ring is on front and I just pick a setting and forget it, otherwise it's not quick to adjust. The focus lever is around the outer perimeter and was easy to get used to, it works pretty slick. There's a lot to like about this lens as far as the end product photos go, sharp focus on the subject with just the right amount of blur and shade in the corners. I like that this lens is compact. It makes it easy to keep with me and doesn’t take up any space in my camera bag. It is quite a bit heavier than I expected it to be though. There is a lot you can do with this lens, and I am still learning how to do it all. I do like that it is easy enough to focus and I get some great shots with it.
