  • Nice lens.
Nice lens. Works well with the M2 to Fuji X adapter I purchased at same time as the lens. Nice sharpness and easy to use with focus peaking. I really like the lever for changing focus. Someone mentioned it is hard to change the f stop, but the outside of that ring is ribbed so easy for me to change with a fingernail. Only bad point is the tiny lens cap that is threaded on to the lens. Easy to get off but somewhat difficult to put back on. When finally you get the threads started it will on only thread on for about one turn. Lens is very good on colors and as mentioned it is nicely sharp. ... show more

  • Fun little lens
This is a fun little lens I'm using on my Fuji X-Pro3. It's fairly easy to focus, but the aperture ring is so tiny and a bit hard to turn. The build quality is excellent, heavy for the size. The images have plenty of character, don't pixel peep too much, but are pleasing. I love vintage lenses so this fits right in. ... show more

  • Excellent
This lens is really really really small and really really good. Unbeatable for street photography. The quirks are assets to me, as I’m not a fan of clinical lenses.

  • Quality
Amazing lens, extremely compact. No comparison to any other lens design in 28mm. I still have to study the picture quality but it looks very good so far. Adjustment of distance is easy and ergonomic, of f-stop not. Solid brass construction. I am very happy with this purchase.

  • Not for me.
I was excited about the size of the lens, but I found the aperture dial to be so close to the lens itself that I didn’t see how I would avoid always getting fingerprints all over the lens. And I thought the optical performance was so so. Definitely pretty and not a bad lens, but not for me. Sent it back. ... show more

  • Avoid with film cameras.
Don't buy this lens. The focus alignment on this lens is not accurate at all. This lens WILL NOT BE IN FOCUS if you set proper focus alignment in the rangefinder. You might be able to use this with a digital camera and use focus peaking but if you have a film Leica stay clear. learned the hard way.

  • Flawed but tiny, great pocket lens.
Update: The seller reached out to me because of my review. Top notch customer service. The only real downside I’ve noticed is that when used wide open at maximum aperture, the lens is a bit soft toward the edges. I’m using it adapted (M to L), so it’s possible the adapter or sample variation contributes to some asymmetry, but unless you’re pixel-peeping it’s difficult to notice in real world use. Stopped down to f/4, the center of the image is very sharp, which is where I tend to leave it most of the time. The aperture control is a bit unconventional, but given how thin this lens is, it’s understandable... there simply aren’t many places to put it. I primarily use this lens on a Leica CL as a compact, pocketable setup, and it allows me to carry one of my favorite cameras into situations where larger lenses just aren’t practical. This lens clearly makes intentional compromises to achieve its extremely thin profile, but the end result is a very usable tool. Since purchasing it, the lens has stayed on my camera most of the time. If Brightin Star can produce a lens this capable at this thickness, I’m very interested to see what they can do in a more traditional form factor. ... show more
