Freewink Electric Wheelchair Model EW209 is AWESOME! My husband has Parkinson's and can no long walk, so needed an electric wheelchair. We chose the Freewink wheelchair because it weighs only 28lbs!! I'm able to lift it in and out of our SUV, (I'm 81 years old, 4'11" and weigh 125lbs)!! This wheelchair is compact, beautifully designed; comes with two batteries that go in/out with one push of a button; the Joystick-controller is well arranged to avoid accidental movements, has easy remove/replace footrests (handy for air travel), changes easily between manually pushed/electric and folds quick and easy for transport! It even has a headlight for driving in the dark! My husband and I indisputably recommend this well-built, beautiful wheelchair!

I've had limited mobility in my legs for years, and I've tried a few mobility devices, but nothing as light and compact as this carbon fiber wheelchair for traveling. It's more than just a wheelchair - it's a great mobility solution that makes my daily life so much easier. The lightweight, foldable design of the all-carbon fiber makes it convenient for me to fold up in a few seconds and fit neatly into the trunk of my car, which I can easily lift at 28 pounds on my own. Unlike my old wheelchair, this one doesn't feel like a burden when I need to carry it around. Also, the wheelchair meets airline standards, which means I'm already planning my next trip. Two batteries let me no longer have the anxiety of battery life, I can alternately charge the two batteries to use the wheelchair uninterrupted, electromagnetic braking system and anti-sharp wheels give me extra peace of mind. My chair is still new -- and it is my first wheelchair. I am quite pleased with it. It was super-easy to assemble. It was all I hoped it would be. Here is why I bought this particular chair. I checked out all the reviews on Amazon of power wheel chairs in this size and category. Not only were all of the many (except two) reviews positive, but no one had even minor complaints after receiving, unpacking and trying the chair. I especially checked the oldest reviews assuming people who used the chair for an extended period would have updated with their experience. There were no complaints. So I will post periodic updates on my experience. Stay tuned. My main reason for choosing this particular model was the fact that all of the features listed were exactly the qualities I was looking for. I wasn’t disappointed! Assembly consisted of inserting the foot rests into the notches suitable for my height, attaching the seat and back pads (velcro) and attaching the hand controller to my preferred side. A quick review of the manual and a half hour of practice in a relatively open area (long hallway in my apartment building) and I felt good to go. I have been using it for just over a week and am very happy with it. I can even maneuver it to eat at a table in a restaurant. In an elevator, it can rotate 360º in place! This is the third electric wheelchair I have purchased in the last few years. This one is light, well-made, and easy to use. Either my wife or I can fold and put it in the back of our SUV easily. The extra battery is a plus, but I have yet to exhaust more than one. I prefer to reduce the price and have only one battery, since this wheelchair is not really suitable for long-distance travel. It is great for doctor appointments, shopping, and around the house. I highly recommend it for a light, portable electric wheelchair.
