    • Beautiful & Dimmable Farmhouse Style Lamps

Farmhouse style is my favorite! My bed frame, many furniture items and the trimming and doors in my home are all done in this design style. I have been wanting to get lamps for my bedroom for a while now, and when I saw these offered for reviewing purposes, I knew they fit my aesthetic perfectly! I love the antique, creamy white washed color, and shape of the lamps. They are definitely farmhouse style, but also feel very feminine; complimenting my existing decor without overpowering it. The paint is like brushed with gold, giving it a worn but luxurious look...I know there is a term for it but it is escaping my mind at the moment..It's very pretty, and makes the lamps look more expensive than they were. I was very impressed with how much care was put into packing them so they remained intact and undamaged during shipping. Completely nestled in foam inserts, extra foam sheets wrapping the frame for the lamp shade; I was impressed, and very pleased at the effort taken. There were simple, easy to follow instructions for assembling the lamps, and it took me less than 5 minutes to put each together. The only thing that was a little off-putting was the lamp shade. It certainly makes sense for shipping purposes, but it cheapened the overall look to me a bit. The shade arrived in one long piece, with Velcro on either side. You attached the Velcro sides to create the cylindrical lamp shade, and then you secure it with the two metal frames at the top and bottom. I have turned my lamps so that you don't see the seam created by the Velcro attachment. It's not a big deal, but I would have preferred it be one solid piece that wasn't connected in that way. Like perhaps it could be folded in some way and popped back into shape once it arrived? I'm not sure, but you cant tell that from the listing. I've been using the lamps for a few weeks and I'm VERY pleased with them. Prior to getting these lamps, I had to get out of bed and walk to my door where the switch for the overhead light is on. I especially appreciate that these lamps have a dimmable feature. There are 3 levels of light and the control goes from dimmest to brightest and then finally off with the 4th touch of the sensor. The dimmest setting has been perfect at night for me! And I really love not having to use my switch or get out of bed to turn on the light. If that isn't all, the lamp base boasts an extra outlet for "whatever", and 2 extra usb ports. I've never had a lamp with these features, and only seen them at hotels. It's so very convenient to be able to plug up my phone, laptop or whatever i need to my lamp without searching for an outlet near my bed. I can charge/power what I need to from bed, and also, its just another outlet! Many of the outlets near my bed are already accounted for actually, so having an extra 2 standard outlets at the lamp base, along with extra usb ports is so clutch! At the time that I ordered these, they were just under $100. Currently, they are $90 with a 10% coupon, putting each lamp at about $40. That is totally worth it in my opinion! I highly recommend these lamps! They offer a few different colors, and this brand also has different lamp base styles if this one isn't quite your design preference. All that I've seen are similarly priced, and look just as good of quality as the ones I own. ... show more
