Our friends recommend this dehumidifier to us after the last hurricane season because it worked so great for them. It got a ton of moisture out and was very easy to use! We decided to get ahead and purchase it now just in case any future floods happen. The unit pulls a serious amount of moisture from the area, often pumping out loads of water in just a few hours after the hurricane. It’s clearly built for rugged use. The casing is solid, the wheels make it easy to move for such a heavy unit, and everything from the cord to the control panel feels industrial-grade. Its about the size of a regular dehumidifier that you would get from Walmart, but weighs as much as a window unit. Instructions said to let stand up for 24 hours to let internal fluids resettle (they are often stored or shipped on their side.) I waited 12hrs, cuz ain't nobody got time for that. This large new Pioneer XIII is a very solid, impressive unit with great features and high capacity. I have previously purchased two Moiswell Defender M145 units that continue to perform strongly after 18 months so purchasing another Moiswell unit was a clear decision. After initial set up it runs and cycles smoothly and quietly. I fully expect that this portable and larger capacity unit will perform well.
