I got my little fireplace back in March and wanted to see how it worked out for me, before I wrote a review...I can honestly say that it is perfect for my place...it heats up my small area really fast and after 20 minutes, I can turn it down to low...it seems like it costs a few pennies an hour to use it...and I don't use central heating ...so happy I bought this...it makes for a warm and cozy environment ... show more

Did not realize how much smaller this was than my last heater but it puts out more heat than I expected and keeps my living room very warm. The only thing I dislike on it is the heater makes a odd noise from the motor. In the living room with the TV and other noise it is passable but don't think I could sleep with this in a quiet room. ... show more

    • Looks good, but some functional issues
Pros: * Aesthetically the fireplace with a rustic, old-world charm is quite pleasing. * The exterior surprisingly is not made of cheap plastic but is made of metal which gives a sturdy authentic look. * It has a clear glass/plastic panel on three sides instead of one (like some other similar heaters), so it gives more flexibility in placing it in many angles or corners. * Has a light control knob and makes very less noise. * It makes the room warm but I wouldn't say it's great in this aspect. We used it on the low 750W setting for a room of 13’x15’ and it did increase the temperature by 3-5 degrees Fahrenheit in 10-15 mins, which was also reflected in the thermostat. Cons: * The legs of the heater were cumbersome to assemble. * It did not work on the 1500W setting at all, kept tripping every 2 minutes, and then would not start for a very long time. We got a replacement from the manufacturer, but that had the same problem. ... show more

    • You get what you pay for
The unit is cute, but very small. VERY small. If you don't attach the legs it's compact enough to serve as a table top heater. While assembling and trying to open the flap (door) to the controls the hinge broke off. It's attached to the flap with mere plastic notches to the hinge and the hinge itself looks flimsy, like something you'd find on a kids toy. On the upside it does help warm a small breakfast nook with bad windows quickly. The heating element is on the underside so also helps warm the floor. Unfortunately it took 5 days to arrive so I wouldn't have had time to return prior to my guests arriving for the holidays, so I'm keeping it. Just know you get what you pay for. :/ ... show more
