Nice little machine

I got this dehumidifier for my condo. It came Tuesday, so I let it sit (as per the instructions) and tried it out Wednesday. When I plugged it in, the power was already on. As I worked the controls, I noticed that the power and fan speed did not work but the other buttons were fine. I reached out to customer service (which I believe were located in China where it was made. There was a slight delay in responses since they replied back late at night/very early morning.) Anyway, they asked for a video of the problem, which I sent. (All the while, I still used it. I just had to unplug the machine to turn it off. It collected water and ran fine, otherwise.) They replaced the machine and the replacement came within a few days of the email. They said to keep the old (not sure how long it will work with the power board issue but still.) I waited the 24 hours and tried the new one. It worked fine - all buttons function like it should. The machine itself works fine. It collects water nicely (I use the container since I don't have a drain to let it drip into.) It will beep once and turn off when full. The noise level is fine. As to be expected - not loud but not silent, of course. The humidity level on the machine is only slightly off from the manual one I have - just a few %. Not a big deal, you can adjust that according. I like that you can also wipe the filter. One downside is if you empty the container right after you turn the machine off, you will have a little drippage. Overall, I'm happy with it and the customer service was very good.

It’s quiet and works excellent

I am happy with this purchase not only because it works very efficiently but it’s quite and I hardly know it’s on. I have this size in my bathroom and fits well , it’s not large and cumbersome. This humidifier helps keep the area dry and works great esp while I’m putting on my makeup, no more sweating off my makeup while putting it on. This machine is a great value for the money and then some. I recommend this to anyone needing a quiet well performed dehumidifier.

Easy to use and works great. I basically have a place in the woods and this little guy really sucks the water out of the air leaving my place much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this and buy it again if needed.

Smaller than advertised, but works well

Seems to work pretty well. However, the unit is MUCH smaller than I anticipated. The advertised photos are deceptive. It works well enough for the space I use it in, and it’s relatively quiet .

Great for Small Areas

This dehumidifier definitely made a difference and helped reduce the humidity, but it didn’t work quite as much as we were hoping because we used in our living room, which was too big of an area. My husband moved it to our bedroom and it works so much better. That being said, we probably need more than one dehumidifier for our house anyway, so I think having another one in a different area would make an even bigger difference. We will definitely be purchasing another Banabi dehumidifier. My vents used to have so much more moisture on them and as you can see, no more moisture. Overall, we’re happy with it and think it’s a good product!

Defective Unit and No Customer Response

I purchased the Banabie PD8R-03QE dehumidifier new through Amazon. I followed the instructions and allowed it to remain upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. When I plugged it in, the power indicator light came on immediately without pressing the power button. However, the unit would not start or operate. Pressing the power button did nothing, and the power indicator light remained on. The controls were completely unresponsive. The documentation included with the product specifically instructed me to contact Banabie first regarding problems rather than immediately initiating a return through Amazon. I followed those instructions and contacted Banabie by email on September 28. After receiving no response, I sent a follow-up email on September 30 letting them know that I would proceed with an Amazon return if I didn't hear back. As of October 1, Banabie has never responded to either email. Unfortunately, receiving a defective new product is disappointing, but the complete lack of response from the manufacturer after following their requested support process makes the experience even more frustrating. I ultimately had to proceed with the Amazon return process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product.

Effective, Not Too Big

Small and quiet, but not even close to capable of 2500 sq ft

2500 sq ft??? Not even close… If you are looking for a single room unit that’s quiet, this might work. But 2500 ft.²? The fan is so soft you can hardly feel it unless you’re on top of the unit. There’s no way this will work in larger settings. Might work for 200-300 sq ft…. I put it in auto mode at 60% in a 1.000 sq ft open basement. It never got down to that level, running constantly…
