I just unpacked this yesterday and plugged it in today so this is a one day review. So far it is working like a charm. I have it in my very damp basement. I’m in the part of the country where there has been quite a bit of flooding and my basement is very very damp. I’m impressed with how well this is pulling water out of the air. I have an old dehumidifier down there that was barely working and this one is working very well so far. It is very quiet and was very easy to set up. I basically just plugged it in and it immediately started working. One comment is that it’s bigger than I thought it would be and fairly heavy so I did need some help getting it to my basement.

I had a 12 yr old Frigidaire, top of the line. It was very hot when it was running, which was a plus in the winter, not so much in the summer, and awkward to empty. I used it until I purchased this. I have read the reviews and am amazed at all the different perspectives. My views are based on the comparison between what I have been using for all these years, in the South. Last night at 7:30 PM is was 93 degrees outside. The humidity and the temperatures are off the charts, but I think we better get used to this, and prepare. High heat and humidity makes for a very oppressive day and night. Tough to be able to sleep, restfully. Family/Friend/kids groups are becoming grumpy. The Energy Star Aeocky is a beautiful, quiet, machine. Made with 50% recycled material, maintains Global Recycled Standards. Easy to unpack & install, and rolls easily. Maintains the humidity level that I decide consistently. The sound is minimal, does not interfere with other activities. The bucket is easy to remove, empty and replace. The higher the humidity the more often you have empty it. Energy use. Your AC works overtime in high humidity conditions. Adding the Energy Star Aeocky to your home will help reduce that power drain. The Energy Star Aeocky uses 4 amps. The smallest window AC uses 15 amps and can barely keep one 100 sq ft room cool. If you have whole house system, the electric usage is much larger. The Energy Star Aeocky keeps a 1500 sq ft building dry, using 4 amps. I live outside of Jacksonville, FL. We have been dealing with 90+ degrees for months. I waited a month to share my review to be able to check my electric bill. Here we can look at the daily usage. My bill did not show any increases from the day I started using the Energy Star Aeocky, which was for the last 20 days of my bill. I was able to set and maintain my humidity levels, and also set my AC @ 77 degrees 24/7. It changed everything. I can sleep. Better sleep quality is important at any age, and this helps. At night I sometimes lowered the temp in my bedroom to 76 degrees. My house is now more comfortable. This will also change winter comfort. The wind and the rain in 45-55 degrees with 90+ humidity is just as tough on the heating system; maintaining the humidity level is just as important. A dehumidifier lowers energy costs all year because it helps your air conditioner/heating system run more efficiently. With an Energy Star 2025 rating, it’s using less power than my old unit while running smoother and cooler. Customer Service: I used the email link and had immediate response. I did it just to see because of the negative review I read about customer service. Some of the negative reviews really make me wonder who is really writing those things.

Quiet and efficient. Only wish the reservior could hold more, I am not using the hose connection, as I have no close drain. Simple to operate. Just the right controls. My last dehumidifier (still works) is close to 35 years old - a Kenmore - but not efficient at all.

Works well right out of the box. Setup was easy and the machine was noticeably lighter than the 10 year old being replaced. Nice size machine, drain tube and drain nozzel adapter to garden hose included though if your not draining the water directly into a drain you might be disappointed in the volume of the catching bucket, its pretty small. Mine is in my 2500 sq ft basement and after 24 hours the place is bone dry. I set to 45% humidity initially and I literally can feel the dry air in my basement. Set back to 60% now and it barely comes on. Feels solid and supposedly it’s energy efficient but I wont know that for a while. Great dehumidifier.

This is working hard as it's been a humid summer. I like the ease of use and the bucket is the right size and not too heavy to carry to empty. One thing that impressed me is the 3 year warranty and 5 year warranty on the compressor. Most dehumidifiers I have had the last several years dont even last more than a few months. Time will tell on this one, but so far I give it a thumbs up and 5 stars! Edited to add: I am so happy with this dehumidifier. I like that it is very quiet. I also love the light in the front under the top panel that lights up when it is full. This is a game-changer, because I can see the light across the room and dont have to go up to the machine to see if the little "bucket full" light on the top panel is lit. Genius! It's been working non-stop the last month and I've had to empty it every day. Buy it! You won't regret it.

Remarkably compact and seemingly efficient dehumidifier. Best part is that it is remarkably quiet compared to its name-brand predecessor. As I write this, it is in our basement grinding away. In four days it has lowered the humidity level from over 80% to sub-50%........and still going. Its too early to comment on longevity, but it seems elegantly (and well) designed. Only ding I would add is that the reusable filter that was supposed to come with the dehumidifier was missing. When I get a chance I'll head off to Home Depot and pick up some.

I got this for my daughter’s house because the humidity has creeped up to nearly 65%. After getting a quote from an HVAC company for a whole home dehumidifier for $6200, I started looking for less costly solutions. Based on the reviews on this dehumidifier, I decided to give it a try. In less than 2 days of use, this dehumidifier has lowered the humidity by 7%! According to my daughter, it was easy to set up and it is very quiet. My daughter likes its appearance and the fact that it can be moved around easily. She has had to dump the water twice a day which she said has also been easy. And I saved nearly $6000! This is an excellent product right out of the box!
