Okay, so I had to order a new one because out of the two older ones that I had, one of the lids got lost so I ordered this one. I ordered the normal egg tray and the 30 quail eggs. For the price, I will definitely say that it’s not what I expected, in a good way. It will alert you if the humidity gets too low with an alarm, and I think for the temp too, but I haven’t had that problem. I didn’t read everything before I bought it, but to my surprise, you can actually program it and it stops rotating the eggs three days before the eggs hatch for lockdown. You can set the exact days, which can differ if you’re doing quail, chicken, ducks, or goose. It has done a great job keeping up with the temperature and the humidity. It has great instructions to follow and troubleshooting if you need it. Very durable and sturdy. The size is normal like the other one I have, and they both fit on my kitchen counter. I also want to point out something about the egg candler light. I didn’t use it at first until a couple days ago, but it is super bright and I didn’t expect it to be so bright. The older one that I have, you really just can’t even use the light because it’s so dim. I already had these eggs in before I got this one, but I knew that I had to separate them when the time came. I have three chicken eggs and two duck eggs. When the chicken eggs hatch, that’s when I will put the other duck eggs in, and it will run for an entire cycle. It has a light up display, and there is the option to disable the alarm. I can’t wait for my eggs to hatch, but I do think I will be getting another one of these and get rid of the old one. It also beeps when you push buttons. Short story long: I would definitely recommend. It’s easy to use and definitely worth it. I can’t afford the higher priced ones and got this one to try, and it’s exceeded my expectations.

This is working very well for me as a first-timer using incubators. I'm incubating quail eggs and so far here are my thoughts: - the smaller auto-turner plate works very well for a smaller egg size. - the temperature I set has consistently stayed within 1 degree on either side. - the humidity has stayed consistent within 3% on either side- I had to tinker with the vent on day 1 but it seems to have stabilized even more after keeping the dome shut. I still check every morning just to be safe. - the directions were clear but obviously it's good to go into with it with a game plan and some basic knowledge of how incubation for your bird type works. - I think especially for the price this is a great little machine!

I just hatched my first batch of chicks. I had a 100% hatch!. I followed instructions to a T from collecting and storing the eggs to resisting opening the lid too soon. I did add a couple mini hygrometers inside the dome and I ended up setting the incubator to 100.3 as it appeared to be a little off. Taking things slow and giving the incubator time to regulate worked everytime. Preheating, using one bottle of water, then two bottles then seeing condensation collect on the dome during hatching...all of it, just trust the process as recommended. Early on worried about the egg rotation. I felt it rolled them too much and they did roll all of them completely. What I mean is not all "x"s stopped on top every or bottom on each rotation. I was afraid some were getting rotated properly and some weren't. In the end after trusting the process they all survived and none of the embryos stuck to the shell. During the hatch the incubator was FULL of chicks and shells. I resisted the temptation to open the lid and clear it out because the drop in humidity could have harm the unhatch chicks. I had so much doubt about this little 12 egg incubator but I had never used an incubator before to compare it to so I had to trust it. It really was a set it and forget incubator. Play with it for 24 hours before setting eggs to get the temp set right and the humidity correct. Good luck and happy hatching!

I received my order in a carefully packaged box. The instructions are clear and super easy to understand. I liked that the instructions are on the incubator itself so I don’t have to go back to the book. If I would have know it would be so easy to incubate eggs, I would have bought this incubator earlier. This machine does everything you need from turning to even counting how many days of incubation have passed. Highly recommend.

We managed to hatch 13 chicks the first time and 7 the second time. Then we hatched 2 duck eggs. Some eggs were not fertilized or others did not develop properly. One chick and duck were born with their intestines on the outside and died the next day, but overall 22 successful hatching for our first time is great. It's easy to clean, it fits 12 chicken eggs perfectly but it was small for duck eggs we only fit 6 in at a time. The temp stayed at 100 (F) degrees but the humidity was the hardest thing to maintain. We did mostly a dry incubation and only added a few drops of water until lockdown day otherwise the humidity was out of control even with the vent all the way open. During lock down day, the humidity was better since it could be higher but never fill the water bottles all the way. We left the bottles in without water to keep the hole covered. Overall it's a well made product and would recommend it for a fun activity not for serious hatchers. I did this with my son since he learned how to do it in school. We kept all of the hatchlings. I believe this auto rotated every 2 hours.

This little contraption is a literal lifesaver! Had a hen who lost her pea brain, did an evil and is no longer allowed to sit on eggs. Very easy to use. The instructions in the booklet are very clear and easy to understand which was very helpful for me as a first time incubator operator. Only fiddly part might be getting humidity dialed in but that was also very easy to get set properly. Its been working along keeping time turning and keeping the temperature and humidity steady very well. Love the built in candler. Only one negative with that feature I'm is the info screen illuminates as well and in a dark room checking the eggs its a little invasive however its easy enough to cover and i dont see that a reason to deduct from my positive rating on this machine. I'm very happy with this purchase and wish I had done it much sooner.

I love this incubator. I have purchased a different brand of incubator in the past and it worked pretty good but this one is so much more user-friendly with the automatic water bottles for constant humidity. I also like the countdown display functions. I mostly incubate Silkie and bantam eggs and the turning function works very well also. Very pleased with this unit.
