I use this liberally on my feet to help against pins and needles pain caused by chemotherapy. I apply every 5 hours. The numbness is not affected but the pins and needles pain is greatly reduced, to not feeling it at all enabling me to finally stand and walk and work on the phones while sitting down. It allows me to get to sleep at night also, because I don't feel pins and needles pain. I don't wake up in order to reapply it, if I'm not awakened by pain. I sleep through the night if I apply it liberally just before I get into bed and wear loose stretchy medical socks that happen to stay on, that I purchased on Amazon to keep the cream where it needs to be.
