The 24 volt power of this Drill is incredible with almost 46 ft, lbs of torque, as it drilled 3 1/2 x 4.2" holes in steel siding before switching batteries. My 18 volt Bosch lasted 1/2 a hole. Flex tools are high quality as I'll place them in the same or better category as Milwaukie or DeWalt. 24 volts has more power, and now Flex offers batteries with twice the usage time as their original batteries I have. I was able to get him the Flex 1/2-Inch 750 Ft-Lbs Mid-Torque Impact Wrench to go with it. I currently own the 1/2-Inch 1,150 Ft-Lbs High Torque Impact Wrench Kit and find it very useful, although a little large for smaller needs. The same batteries work all tools, just different power levels. I highly recommend these tools. ... show more

Batteries are not great at all. I love the drill motor itself. Not heavily used at all, here and there, small project. Drill, 2 batteries and the charge is the 2nd set I have owned. Both sets the batteries have crapped out. They recalled some of those and I was told I wasn’t eligible, bought the second set up because about the same price as new batteries. I think I’ll try something different this time. Remember battery life a little over a year. ... show more

Excellent drill. Lightweight compared to others. My second purchase so both homes have this great drill. Batteries last a long time, and if you fill out your registration, you get a lifetime warranty. Beats those other drills where a few years later, you can no longer purchase batteries for them

Well I’m not sure if it was because it was the first time using the charger it smelled a bit like burning plastic?Both batteries were not fully charged so I charged both of them and it had that burning electrical smell but both batteries charged up so I’ll have to re-check in a few days if it smells again but overall love the look and feel of this Drill bit heavy but it’s 24v so I knew that when I bought it.I mainly use Dewalt brand tools but lately I just feel the quality isn’t what it used to be so I figured I’ll give this brand a shot.Bought it on sale $99 for the kit otherwise I would have not bought it.I think all their tools are really high priced I’ll have to test it out to see if it’s worth buying any other of their cordless tools.Feels good in the hand.The grip is nice ,Balance seems good again but heavy but the power seems good.So I’d recommend this to any one thinking on buying it. ... show more
