Stay away from this one. It's trash. Just look at the photos in the ad. Snow on the ground and yet the flower's blooming. My wife bought it to try and keep her parsley going for Thanksgiving It started ripping in the first couple of days. By a week and a half it basically disintegrated from the wind. I never usually review products but made an exception for this. Junk. A total waste of money and time. Unfortunately we can't give no stars. ... show more

    • Certainly Does Pop Up!
I have a frost-sensitive plant in a container that I can move into the garage if necessary but I think this is a better option. It can stay where it's getting sun and still be protected. The cover popped right up when I opened the package and it's ready to go. The zipper seems sturdy enough to last for awhile. The plant will be in 20" container and it should fit with room to spare. It's a little on the lightweight side so I'll probably put some bricks in the the bottom to hold it down. Overall, this is a very nice option to moving plants around in the middle of winter and it's a recommend from me. ... show more

I got this tent with the intention of insulating my outdoor hostas for a bit longer in the season while the seedpods mature. I didn’t realize the bottom was solid, so I think it is meant to be used with potted plants you place outside. For my purposes, I cut a big “X” in the bottom so I could slip it over my plant. I can say the bottom is puncture resistant. I wish it had some loops at the base so it can be staked down because it gets picked up by the wind very easily. I had to poke more holes in it to insert stakes. The description makes it sound like it comes with stakes but mine did not. Even though I pretty well mutilated mine to make it functional, it does seem to trap the heat from the ground to protect my hosta from the falling temps. I like the zippered door for access. The instructions for collapsing it back to store in its case are vague and I only half succeeding at it. Even so, it’s enough to store it for the season. I ordered the 24” x 36” size which seems perfect for my purposes. ... show more

    • Can't fold it up!!
It worked for us. We had the zipper open and set that on top of the plants and put stakes in the ground. HOWEVER, we can't get it folded up!!!! If you watch the video it is good until they get to the folding then it goes on high speed so you can't see how to do it. Frustrating!

For the price, this should be designed better. The bottom is closed (see pix) so, as another review stated, one would need to cut a hole in the bottom to place it over plants in the ground. And if one watered the plants while inside this little "tent," it would be messy. The Amazon write-up mentions using stakes to secure it in place - but it did not come with any - nor did it come with any loops to hold it in place with stakes. Unfortunately, the Amazon illustrations do not show that the bottom is enclosed. What's more, trying to fold this up and put it back in its holder was a daunting task - even with the inserted guide to help you. It does have functionality and I can see using this for some potted plants I have outside during the occasions we get a frost here in the San Francisco Bay Area. But, really, after one winter with rain, I'm not sure it it would be in very good shape. ... show more
