Our century home doesn't have a fitted kitchen (which we like), so my husband made a built in pantry shortly after we bought the house. We love seeing what we have in stock, but it means that the shelves have to be kept in order and that is sometimes a challenge. I ordered these containers, hoping to organize our ingredients and eliminate clutter and WOW did they ever! I was amazed at how much trash I generated removing all these things from their packaging-- plastic bags, cardboard boxes, paper bags for flour and sugar-- and how all of these were different sizes and malleable shapes. No wonder my pantry shelves were a mess. These containers are uniform and stackable, making organization a breeze. The lids are one size, so there's no looking for a lid for a particular sized container. The lids also have a rubber (ish) gasket that keeps the container airtight. I don't use these for storing liquid, but I did fill one with water and turn it upside down with the lid on: not a drop leaked. I find the sizes are very adequate for the way I use these. I make bread most commonly and buy my bread flour in 50 lb. bags and use a much larger container for that, but given the light use I give all purpose flour, these containers are perfectly adequate. I was happy to discover that there was no smell once I unpacked the containers, as I was concerned about any off-gassing affecting the flavor of the stored food. These cleaned up quickly and easily by hand with no smell. The BPA-free plastic is thick and strong with a slight flex, which means it's not going to shatter as easily as a rigid plastic if you drop it. The lids are sturdy and fit snugly. I always distrust the snap tabs on these types of lids, but only time will tell if they will stand up to heavy use. I love that these come with labels and a chalk marker. Unfortunately, within minutes of opening the box, one of my hounds managed to steal the marker and chew it to death, so I have been using actual chalk for the labels until I get another chalk marker. The labels look so much better than a piece of "masking tape with sharpie" that I would have used otherwise. The labels peel off and are reusable, although I don't know how many times they can be re-stuck successfully. Long story short, I love these containers: they are sturdy and well-made, their uniformity and stackability make it vrey easy to organize my pantry, their airtight lids keep my ingredients fresh, there is no off-gassing of plasticky smell or taste, and the labels help me keep track of what I have while not compromising looks. I couldn't be happier with these. I can't recommend them highly enough!

This is a fabulously versatile and space-efficient food storage set. I absolutely love that all the lids can fit into just 3 of the tallest containers. It saves me from the constant search for a fitting lid, as well as keeping everything organized and in one place. They can stack side-to-side right-side up and upside down in individual towers, which saves valuable cabinet space when not in use. Microwave and dishwasher safe, and I haven't noticed any staining or surface degradation yet, even when microwaving heavily-dyed foods for long periods (to and past boiling) like I see in the thinner food storage containers. These are very thick and sturdy. I was actually surprised when I received it, as when you buy a 24-piece set of these, it's usually 12 containers and 12 lids, but this was 24 full container and lid pieces. There are 4 different sizes of containers and 6 of each, so you can pretty much use it for everything. The smaller 2 sizes are perfect for meal side dish leftovers and meats and fit a perfect lunch portion that sits nicely in a standard cooler lunch bag. The larger 2 are great for storing my dry baking goods, as they can easily fit full bags of sugar/flour, and the included labels ensure that I won't get my self-rising, all-purpose, and almond flour mixed up. The lids are airtight, and the seals are sturdy and leak-proof. The only thing that is a bit misleading about the pictures in the original product description is that the containers are NOT completely transparent as shown, as you can see in my pictures. They are translucent, but there is still enough visibility to easily differentiate what is inside a given container. Overall, this is a fantastic value and a set that will last me for MANY years to come.

This set is as advertised, 24 containers with lids for each, an excellent bargain. They seal well. Since they are plastic, not glass, eventually they will get scratched up, but for now they look good. Translucent not transparent.
