I had found similar lamps at Lowe's that were twice as expensive and was thrilled to find these! I wish the blue wasn't quite so dark, but it's not a deal breaker. Pros - price, size, pull chain access. Con - the included bulbs that are 3 colors. It doesn't stay on the color you like so each time you have to click though to the one you want. My resolution was buying bulbs the color and brightness I wanted (while keeping in mind the max brightness allowed). Now I just use the pull chain to turn them on and off and have the quality lighting that works for me. ... show more

These lamps are just as pictured. Even though I had to assemble everything, even the lamp shade, it was very easy. It took me maybe 20 minutes do to both lamps. They're very solid and should last a long time.

Please keep in mind that this has nothing to do with the quality of these lamps, but to be frank, I liked the design better in pictures. The reason for this is that the design is very modern, and they didn't mix with some of the wooden furniture that we have. Our home decor is "Transitional" (a style that blends classic and modern elements, such as antique tables and wood floors with modern light fixtures, appliances, and decorations). So, I thought that these modern-style lamps would fit right in, and honestly they would if we could have gotten the lamps with the black shades instead. Enough about my rambling on about nothing, the lamps are made from a nice weight ceramic, and the shades close using Velcro. Included are two lightbulbs to get you started. The only issue that I could see with the quality of these lamps is with some of the coating. In certain spots, the coating/paint was really thin and you could see tiny spots of the underlying white ceramic. These came in perfect shape. Easy to put together. They look beautiful in the room. They look just like the photo. The adjustment settings are available thru the pull string. Pull once, twice, three times, there are youre 3 settings!

The lamps are beautiful however I am a little concerned with the part you attach to lamp base. For some reason it does not screw on and it moves making the shades appear as “leaning” It may be something I did wrong when putting it together but I see no other step missing.
