It's sturdy once set with wood/coal even in low windy conditions. My friend tried to move it once it was set up and the mesh slipped out of the leg almost falling apart lol. Overall good quality and good material. A little troublesome to light because there's so much airflow underneath it.

I have done a good deal of hiking and occasionally not been able to make it to a designated camp site before dark. The problem then is that I do not want to create a fire ring but also do not want to be with out a fire for the night. This is the answer. This allows me to build a moderately sizer fire while still leaving little or no trace, With the fire off the ground it allows air to pass through the embers and burn very cleanly and completely leaving little ash or embers. I can not comment about ultimate longevity since I have only had it for a short time however I do feel that with reasonable use it should last or some time. Very Recommended!

I was quite surprised at how sturdy this thing was. I thought when I was putting it together that it was going to be flimsy and fall apart bevause it would not stay together, but when we got it outside my bro-n-law sat it down and once he put the wood on it, it was good to go!! We only used it once but really enjoyed family time around the fire. We poured water on it to put it out and there were no holes. Good product for me.
