  • Fabulous
Size: 216 Eggs Color: Yellow
This incubator is fabulous, it holds a lot and it's absolutely perfect. Everything was in the package plus extra, it was very well packaged to not even a single scratch or anything on it. I'll come back in 3 weeks to update on how my hatching did. Thanks a million I'm very happy with my purchase and I'll for sure be telling family and friends on where to get one. ... show more

  • Simple and effective
Size: 12 Eggs Color: Black
Worked well I kept mind in the kitchen but I keep my house a little colder usually 67-68 degrees so after the first few days I placed it back into the styrofoam to help maintain temp. But the product itself was definitely worth the money & of good quality.

  • Easy-to-use incubator
Size: 18 Eggs Color: Blue
As someone with 15+ years of hatching experience and a couple of big cabinet incubators - this little unit is great. I have a similar 12-egg model that feels a little too small, but the 18-egg is just right for the backyard flock. It's quiet, simple and easy-to-use, all-digital and controlled with buttons that are fairly intuitive. You have to install the turning gear yourself upon arrival but the auto-turning works great as long as you use the appropriately-sized turning tray. This particular unit came with a bunch of extras (wooden dummy eggs, cleaning brush, spray bottle for misting eggs) that were a nice touch. This does have a humidity alarm that goes off if your humidity dips below 40%. You have two water bottles that fill two separate reservoirs (one smaller, one larger) in the bottom of the unit to control the humidity. The ambient humidity is pretty high where I live, so the problem I run into is running the incubator "dry" sets off the humidity alarm, but adding the water bottle to the smaller reservoir bumps the humidity up too high and I end up with a small percentage of fully-formed chicks that "drown" and don't hatch because not enough moisture evaporates from the eggs during incubation. The low-tech solution I've found for this is to add a small bottle cap full of water right onto the tray instead of using the bottles, it slides along with the turner and doesn't flip over and keeps the humidity just right. Another thing to note is that the backlight on the LCD screen doesn't stay illuminated all the time, it lights up when you first plug it in or press a button and then stays illuminated for a few minutes. So if you're running multiple units and can't hear it humming there's no visible indicator light you can glance at from across the room to make sure they're all plugged in and running and a cord hasn't wiggled loose or anything except for a tiny blue light on the power brick. Overall it's a great unit, the technology has improved so much since I started hatching 15+ years ago and you get so much more value for an accessible price! ... show more

  • Not too good
Size: 12 Eggs Color: Black
I was disappointed. Out of 12 eggs, only 4 are possible to hatch and hopefully it will hatch.

  • Such fun to watch them hatch!
Size: 18 Eggs Color: Blue
This is an extraordinary egg incubator. First of all, it's pretty quiet, just a gentle hum. You have to install the gear to make it turn the eggs but it was very easy to do. I live in an extremely humid area but I have this in the house that has the a/c running all day, every day so I really need the two water bottles. You just have to make sure that they are getting just the right amount of water. I love that it comes with additional accessories like wooden eggs and a spray bottle. Overall well thought out incubator set. I really love that a candler light is also included in the design. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Failed to maintain temperature above 98.9 no matter the conditions.
Size: 18 Eggs Color: Blue
I have another model of this incubator from a different seller that worked well so I grabbed this one when I saw it. However, this unit failed to maintain an internal temperature above 98.9 no matter what I did. I raised the temperature setting on the top to the highest setting it would go (103), encased it in the styrofoam it was shipped in, increased the humidity, put it in the warmest room in our home. Nothing. And while you can still hatch eggs in an incubator at that temperature (I did it as a test) you hatch rates will be lower and the chicks development chances being poor. I was able to hatch 4 out of 12 eggs in this. All four of the chicks that hatched were small and weak, one had splay leg. They're doing fine after a week of intensive doctoring (poultry cell, extra vitamins, splay leg hobbles) still on the small side but happy and thriving. I cannot recommend this product. ... show more
