This is made for permanent mounting around machinery and harsh environments. If you don't need that kind of specs look elsewhere. Why? Well for one it is designed to be mounted. It has no mounting hardware other that the tabs on the base. Not terrible. If you have a flat surface in the right place a couple of screws or bolts will do the trick. If not, you'll need to fabricate something. The sealed, explosion-proof nature of this light is ideal for situations where you need a lot of light, but water, gas, or liquids would create a risk for lighting with exposed electrical. Also, the plastic tube that contains the light hardware is pretty sturdy. My use is mounting it above a very large floor grinder/polisher. Flying debris and wet polishing compound creates a problem for conventional lights. Not this unit.

This is a good quality, bright light that also has the ability to tilt to direct the light. It is, as the description says, an industrial unit Intended for adverse and possibly combustable environments. The light does not have a plug installed although one can easily be added. The wires for the unit are color coded blue, brown and green/yellow. It does not come with instructions, but the wiring code is shown in the product description (blue is hot, brown is neutral and yellow/green ground). I've never seen this wiring convention before and it would be great if the seller included the explanation with the product. All-in-all, a good product.

This shop light is very bright and easy to install. It feels very solid and almost unbreakable. The only caveat is that there is no integrated power switch on the body of the light. I knew that I'd have to add a plug to the power cable, but I did not expect the unit to be lacking a power switch on the light body.

I got this to make an under the hood work light for working on cars. I knew I would have to come up with an adjustable bracket to make it fit various vehicles. When I opened the box, I discovered it has no switch on it, just the wires. I overlooked that when checking this out. Overall the quality of the product is very good and is a nice product.

I liked the tube form factor of the light but it came damaged. The black plastic bracket was broken so I sent it back and purchased a similar product with an aluminum bracket that left me with more confidence. Of course I never got to install the light so I can’t speak to its function. Standard Chinese spelling of English words.
