This is a great cordless angle grinder. I have had an angle grinder for years (plug-in) that I use all the time, so I thought it would be nice to have a cordless version. I use mine mostly for removing surface rust from underneath my car or lawnmower deck, and for cutting metal. This set not only comes with a battery (which many listings do not include) it comes with two batteries and the charger for less than $60. The batteries have a charge indicator light, which is nice, and the set comes with an assortment of grinding and cut off wheels. I used this to cut through the chains on a swing set in my back yard. It is far enough back that it would have been a pain if I had to run multiple extension cords back there. It cut through the chains with ease. I can feel that it doesn't have quite as much power as my plug-in, but it certainly seems like enough speed and power for almost all of my needs, and I always have my plug-in if needed. I mostly use the cut off wheels, and this works just fine for those. It seems like it will be fairly durable. Overall, I am very happy to have this set.

This is my first cordless grinder so I don't have a lot to go off, although I have a corded grinder that I use quite often. Quality wise it's what you would expect from a $60 set, which is fair but not horrible. What I like is that it comes with flap disc's, cut off wheels and a grinding disc, you don't need to purchase anything extra to use. I also like the variable speed. It comes with two batteries that say 4.0 ah which I really don't think they are, when compared with two other brand 4.0ah batt they weigh about half as much so my guess it's that they're more like 2.0ah but at least you have two. I did have an issue with one not wanting to charge but after a few attempts it finally charged. It works well, has plenty of torque and doesn't bog easily. One last thing to note, I don't know if this is normal or not but when off and you spin the wheel it has a strange resistance, like there's a clutch that isn't engaging fully and if you spin faster there is less resistance. Again, it's strange, unlike any other brushless tool, I thought maybe it was a feature to slow the spinning after powering it down. Regardless, it works and works well and is a good value considering what you get.

I've become a big fan of getting simpler tools that I use less frequently in generic rather than expensive name-brand. I don't use an angle grinder much—and I do have a high quality corded one—so this tool was the perfect candidate. It sort of feels cheap but seems to work just fine, and works with my supply of Makita LXT batteries. The included batteries are a nice bonus, and make the price extremely reasonable.

The freedom of not being tethered to a power outlet is a game-changer. I can easily move around my workshop or tackle projects in the yard without having to worry about extension cords. The battery life is impressive, providing ample runtime for most tasks. This angle grinder is surprisingly powerful for a cordless model. It handles cutting through metal, grinding welds, and removing rust with ease. The motor runs smoothly and efficiently, and I haven't experienced any bogging down, even under heavy use.

It's out of the ordinary to get a grinder for this price that also comes with 2 batteries and a charger. This is a complete kit. It even came with 5 grinding wheels. It also has a handle that screws into the side of the body and a shield, as all the grinders I've seen. For a battery powered tool this one performs better than expected. I can lean into the steel when smoothing out welds and it lugs a bit, but still works hard and does a good job of powering through. The batteries have held up well so far. It's hard to evaluate them given how hard I pushed this tool. The charger tops off the batteries in under an hour, and they all have indicator lights to show me what level of charge is left in the battery while using it (push the button on the battery). There's 3 different types of wheels that come with it. One is a cut-off type, the other 2 are grinding wheels. There's no case, so I'll have to carry this around and store it in the cardboard box it came in. This and the odd retaining ring gives it 4 stars.
