This thing is really compact and does a pretty good job. I’ve had a larger, name brand model, but because of its size I have to store it in the garage so it's a hassle to retrieve, use, store again. This tiny one is so convenient to store and works well! Today, I vacuum sealed some lentils that did have some moisture in them. When opening the unit, the top is heavy so it's important to open it all the way so that the top housing rests on the countertop - that way you can get the plastic film inserted properly to create a good seal. After choosing the 'Wet' option, the machine ran for awhile as it removed the air and water. At first, I didn’t think it was working properly, so I stopped it. When I tried again, after reviewing the instructions, it did say it would run for about 30 seconds after it’s achieved air removal. It ran for a pretty long time before finishing - maybe 2 minutes total. When it completed the job, it seemed like between the suction step and the seal step it lost a little bit of the suction in the package. I think this was due to the amount of moisture in the bag. (I will continue to work on my technique to try to get a tighter seal...) The excess liquid from the package pooled in the reservoir in the base of the unit and also in the reservoir in the top of the unit. I wasn’t sure how to clean out the reservoir in the base, so I just wiped it out with the paper towel since I don’t think you wanna put the unit in water or even rinse it with water. The liquid chamber was easy to remove and rinse out. Subsequently, I have used it to seal dry foods. I found that it was easier to get a snug, airtight seal. I have not had the chance to use the external vacuum capability of the unit. Overall, the size and ease of use of this unit make it so much more convenient to use than my old unit - it's so small I can store it in my bags/wraps drawer. I'm single, so am generally not dealing with large quantities of food, so the performance is adequate for my needs. Oh, and because of the design of this model, there isn't a lot of waste of bag material (as compared to my larger sealer) - that's a huge bonus because I feel like my old machine creates a lot of unnecessary waste.

I have a couple vacuum sealer from one that is silly expensive to one of the cheapest fines I could get on Amazon. Some do work much better than others but what I didn’t have was a rechargeable that I could stick to the side of the ice box and pull down vacuum seal something on the fly. Now I have that vacuum sealer! I’m not gonna lie and say that this pulls a vacuum like the most expensive one I have but it does pull one heck of a vacuum and it’s equivalent to the little cheapie cheapie I got for under $2020. This came with a lot of extra bags which always helps because we try to vacuum seal all of the meat I cook cause I cook enough meat for the month and usually over eight weeks period when I pull the meat off the smoker and break it down into whatever form the family wants. I’m usually doing 20 pounds of beef, pork, or chicken at a time. After I smoked two large briskets, I decided to only use this vacuum sealer to seal them up. It did a good job. The heat seal that it made on the bags was very solid, which is also I can’t say enough for as the cheapie cheapie has to be pressed three or four times to get it to make that good of a seal. At the end of the day, this is very easy to use even for this almost totally blind guy. The buttons are easy to find on the top, it pulls a good vacuum, and it makes a great seal, and it does dispose of the moisture and make it easy to clean up. Go buy this if you vacuum seal a lot of stuff or if you have small things you wanna vacuum seal and don’t wanna lug out cords and bags and everything else.

First of all, the instructions are trash. But I read some of the reviews first, so I knew what to expect. Plus I've had multiple bag vacuum sealers and a tube suction vacuum sealer in the past, so I know what to expect and knew how to work this pretty well even without the instructions. Make sure you remove the phone fits before you get started, it's not super obvious. The vacuum sealing itself for the bags is awesome. Works really well. The problem I've had with most of the vacuum sealers I've had in the past is that they vacuum, and when they go to seal, they let a little bit of air in, or don't seal properly at all. Not an issue at all with the roll combined with the sealer. And the vacuum seal bags it comes with work really well with the other function. Surprisingly well actually. And it came with quite a few bags, when I first saw the listing I was a little surprised. Lastly, the fact it's small and magnetic is fantastic. I slap it up right on the side of my fridge and it doesn't take up any of my cabinet or counter space. This is one I highly recommend.
