This is my first thermal camera, but I have seen professional ones cost far far more. For its low price, this thing is excellent and does a job that otherwise you couldn't enjoy. For example, in the evening in the summer, I can still see the wooden studs in the wall where the heat from the day has made the walls warm. I can see leaks and temperature differences everywhere. For its price, ease of use, it's hard to beat.

I am using this as a homeowner/novice and find this unit to be more than adequate for my needs and a step-up from the hot/cold temperature guns (which also work very well), especially at this price point. I got it initially for locating cold air infiltrations in my home but have expanded its uses to include finding leaking duct work in the HVAC system, gaps in insulation and water damage/water leaks. Used correctly, thermal imagers such as this one can provide a ton of information. You will be able to "see" where studs are in your walls. You will be able to "see" where your ducts and pipes run behind walls - and will be able to "see" any leaks in your ducts and any gaps in your insulation. You can also scan your home, especially around windows and plumbing fixtures for existing or previous water damage that is invisible to the naked eye. There is just so much that you can do with this thing and so many things that you can discover that you would never know just by looking. Yes, I cheaped out and got the version without the second camera, used to overlay actual surroundings with the thermal. I have not found that missing feature to be a hindrance. The image could be clearer but for my basic uses and the price point I find this to be a great value.

Works great i was rather shocked with its quality. The one issue i have is charging there is no light or led signaling that its charging you have to turn it on to check but then when you turn it off you have no idea when its done. Add a red for charging green for finished charging

Works great and gives good quality images for my needs (basic random stuff), however it could have used a lanyard strap attachment, I'd feel a little more secure. I'm not sure if there's a strap attachment that could fit in the tripod mount.

This is a great, easy-to-use product and I highly recommend it for professionals or anyone who wants to screen their own home for moisture or temperature differences. Sadly, I returned this due to price and changing priorities, but I plan to re-purchase in the future when we're actively doing home projects and working with contractors.
