  • Great looking and does the job well.
Style: Space PI
Works really well. It does what it is advertised to do. Straight forward installation and I started drying right away. Controls are simple and I like that. I am mainly drying PETG and PLA, but soon will be testing ASA so will see how this goes. It can't speak about Nylon as I don't print with it. Noise level is acceptable from my perspective. It looks great as well and fits in my set up and space along the P1S. It also has a good presets that makes it easy to just put your spool in there and set it and forget it. Some caveats to know about: You likely will need to vent it perhaps once during drying or after to get some of the moister out, but I found that not entirely necessary. If you add the drying desiccants you should also get a better effect. There are some 3D printed mods and vent spacers you can do as well to get the best drying experience. You should also know that this is not an airtight container. So not the best option for storage after drying. You can print while drying at the same time so that is a good option if you are looking for that. Overall I would highly recommend it. When on sale I think it is worth the investment. ... show more

  • A very good drier that works well and has an accurate timer.
Style: Space PI Plus
This works as good as you would expect. It dries very evenly as far as I can tell. I usually dry for 4 to 8 hours to begin with depending on the type of filament. Some filaments I just leave in all the time, like pet g. I just feed directly out of the unit to my printer as there is a built in ptfe tube and I run out of that into the printer. The controls are very clear and easy to read and use. Although when I first used it I selected pet g, and it put up 4 hours. I figured that is what the selection of the type of filament was for. However, that was the only time that happened. I don’t know why, or if, the machine puts up the time to dry. Now I wonder why there is even a selector for material type as it doesn’t seem to change the temperature and it doesn’t select a time to dry, you have to put that in. Not a big deal as it is very easy to do. The timer is accurate and easy to set. I like this and have no issues with it. ... show more

  • A bit noisy and finnicky in controls, but it does the job.
Style: Space PI Plus
I'll give this little guy four out of five stars for now. It's an awesome filament dryer, easy to use, and never lets me down. Pulled a star off of a full rating due to the fact that the thing started to howl when powered up, which sometimes simmers down after running for a bit. The other con I found is that the touchscreen display seems rather non-responsive, yet freaks me out a bit when I press a "button" and I see pixels on the display around it illuminating from the pressure. It's similar to if you pressed on a screen too hard and the display is letting you know that you are dangerously close to breaking it. But I'm not even pressing that hard. ... show more

  • Very Advanced and Versatile drier
Style: Space PI X4
This filament drier has been awesome! I love the independent dual chamber setup, it grants the ability to dry multiple filament types simultaneously ex: PLA in the left chamber and Nylon in the right. This unit allows the drying of more advanced filaments like Nylon, ASA, PC etc. with its higher temperature of 85C. The auto dry cycle when the humidity setpoint is exceeded is very handy as well so, if you forget you have rolls in the drier once the cycle is complete, they wont start to accumulate moisture again. The chambers are pretty well sealed to slow moisture creep when a cycle ends as well. It can even be used to refresh desiccant packs. I have been running this unit non stop since I purchased it a month ago to dry all of my filament rolls (nearly 30) before vacuum sealing them and it has operated flawlessly. Highly recommended drier for anyone who tends to keep lots of filament on hand, especially non PLA types! The photo shows it drying PLA in the left chamber at 60C for an 8 hour run and Polycarbonate in the right chamber at 75C for 12 hours. ... show more

  • Does not report correct humidity, restarts cancelled chambers with out input.
Style: Space PI X4
Before I finish my review of the filament dryer I'd like to give Creailty a chance to respond to some issues in the X4's operation. The heat reading is close to being correct, for the little it is off it could be contributed to either instrument's error. However the Humidity reading is so far off it has to be the X4's error. On the second 12 hour run it reports 21% in the left chamber and 20% percent in the right chamber when my humidity gauges show 10% or under. These gauges bottom out at 10% so the actual humidity can be, and probably is, under that reading. To be fair I used four separate gauges in each of the two chambers to insure the reading was consistent with the smaller instrument. Why are the Creality humidity gauges bottomed out at 21% and 20% and have refused to go any lower no matter how long the dryer runs? Are all the dryers reporting the humidity error or have I received a defective dryer for my review? Creality's first and second communications to answer me. Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback about your testing of the X4 filament dryer—we truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to verify the readings with multiple gauges. Regarding the humidity display: the X4’s internal sensors are designed to report relative humidity within a certain calibrated range, and in some cases they may not display values lower than around 20–21%, even if the actual humidity in the chamber is below that level. This does not necessarily mean that the dryer is not working correctly; rather, it reflects the sensor’s minimum display threshold. In the meantime, please rest assured that as long as your independent gauges are reading 10% or below, the dryer is effectively reducing the humidity to the intended range for proper filament storage and drying. Agin, thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Dear Valued Customer, We hope this message finds you well. It has been long since our last communication, and we are following up to check on the status of your request. Please be assured that we remain fully committed to resolving the issue. If the matter remains unresolved, please kindly remind us, and we will prioritize it immediately. P.S. If there is no reply from you within 5 days of this email, the system will treat the case as resolved and automatically close it. But the closure doesn't mean the end, if you still need help, please feel free to get back to us. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation. Best regards, Creality Support Team Not only did Creality totally miss a chance to correct an issue with the dryer, they indicated that the error was totally normal. They also indicated that their sensors bottom out or “it reflects the sensor’s minimum display threshold.” For a product that does not surpass or even equal what can be done with a $25 food dehydrator I would say it was a swing and a miss. I do not recommend purchasing this dryer. After a couple weeks use I find the single chamber running to be non-existing. When using the single chamber program, that is said to save electricity, the other chamber turns on at a unspecific time. I can then turn that chamber off and it will restart anytime after being turn off. Poor programing. ... show more
