Sturdiness: 4/5 - It's a notebook. The ring binding feels relatively sturdy. Pages are thick and stronger than normal paper. Again, its a notebook. Sturdiness is an odd metric to rate for this. Durability: 4/5 - See above. Value for money: 4/5 - Decently priced planner that met all the requirements I wanted without a bunch of the stuff I didn't want. Overall: 4/5 - Given the metrics Amazon is rating for this notebook are kind of odd, let me just mention some of the nice things about this notebook. I use this planner everyday as a way to keep myself accountable and use the daily sections WITH the checkmark boxes, to list off daily tasks I want to complete. Having the checkboxes at the end of each line are a nice and simple feature that many other planners do not have. It feels nice and is mentally rewarding habit wise, to be able to physically check something off. It also does not contain a bunch of other fluff pages. It's a full year planner, (Many that I looked up only included 6 months for some reason..). It has a few pages for contacts, and a few at the end of the book that I'm using for annual goals, but outside of that its a 2page Grid view of the month and then a few pages each for the month broken down by weeks, with room to add several notes day to day. I would recommend this planner to anyone who is looking to organize their day or create lists for themselves.

I have tried at least six calendars of various sizes as well as many digital formats of calendars to stay organized during the school year. This planner has been the best by far and is the one I'll use next year as well. I should say first that I ordered two planners by accident and received a prompt refund after returning the unnecessary extra. That was a relief. I love that there is nothing extra yet everything needed in this planner. There are sturdy tabs to get to the month easily and each month has plenty of space to write notes. Between the tabs are the weeks and those are laid out perfectly with one week per double page. The pages are substantial and not slick or waxy so it is GREAT for people like me who prefer pencil. Also, when I use pen the ink does not bleed through to the opposite page. I like that it's spiral bound and it has not once gotten hung up, even though it gets tossed into a bag and carried around daily. The cover is a sturdy plastic material that is decently thick to protect the pages yet still has some flex, and I LOVE the pocket folder in the back where I shove business cards, papers, receipts, and even a pen or pencil. Truly this is just great all around and it doesn't have all the fluff of motivational quotes or journaling or goals or pictures that I just do not need in a faculty calendar/planner. I am just so glad I finally found such a great tool for me. I am healthcare faculty and I run around to various hospitals and agencies to check on students and to coordinate clinical rotations and frequently this is the only thing I have in my hand. I can jot down notes, contact information, and scheduling wherever I go, and then I can wipe down the outside of the calendar when I enter or leave the facility. I really do recommend this planner for healthcare faculty!!

When I was looking at planners, I looked for one with a sky blue cover to narrow down the number I looked at. I saw one or two planners that I looked at that had check-off boxes where you could write a "To Do" list from Monday through Friday. This was one of the planners that had that. I love this feature so much that I took mailing labels and printed lines of boxes on them and cut them out so that I could stick them on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm also using them on the other side of weekdays when I have a lot of things to do. The planner I used last year I never used the daily spots at all and clipped those days together and just used the overall monthly calendar to write events on so I wasted all those individual pages because I never thought of using a planner like that before. I have ADD and this seems to work a lot better for me to double-task my planner for events and a "To Do" list every day. I had been either hand writing or typing up task lists and placing on a clip board but it's more paper to keep track of and I found I didn't look at it enough, sometimes couldn't find it or sometimes tasks would get lost when I made a new list. I can easily see what tasks I've done and keep better track of what's not done and move it to the next day if needed. I may move events to the overall monthly calendar which even have lines in them for writing which a lot of planners don't do that. I love the size of this planner. It is smaller and it is not as thick as the previous one I used. While it doesn't have monthly tabs on it like my previous one, I won't need it because I'll be looking at it all the time by using the day pages. The only possible thing I could think of to improve this planner is to have a pocket in it in the front or back. While the planner is smaller than an 8-12" x 11" page, I could fold schedules and keep them there to write events in the planner at a later time. Otherwise, I spend a lot of time trying to find schedules. While I probably paid a little bit more for this planner than the one I bought last year, it is worth it solely for the fact that is will greatly help me in becoming more organized and I will be using more of the full extent of the planner. I would highly recommend this planner if you have organization issues like I do.

The best things about this planner: It is spiral bound- making it easy to flip through pages. I once had a planner that was like a book and I didn’t like how I had to hold the book down to keep it open. The monthly tabs- making it easy to navigate. Writing space- there is ample space to write out what each day is going to look like. You aren’t cramped for writing space. Saturday & Sunday- are placed right next to each other. Yes, Sunday is always the first day of a week on a calendar, but I think most people group Saturday and Sunday together mentally (because it’s the weekend) so I like that this planner puts Saturday and Sunday on the same page, next to each other. I think to take this planner to the next level it should have a place to write down your yearly, monthly, and weekly goals. For example, yearly goals could be at the beginning of the planner, monthly goals at the beginning of each month, and weekly goals at the beginning of each week. At the end of each week, and month, the planner would direct you back to the pages where you wrote down your goals. This would be a tool to help remind you and reflect on the progress or lack of progress that you have made on those goals. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of this planner!
