Ensure the lid is accurately closed and the opening end of the bag is correctly installed into the vacuum chamber. Check if the bag is punctured and if the foam sealing gasket is deformed or cracked. Please remove the gasket and put it back on the opposite side and try again with your hands pressing the lid to help the vacuum chamber to be airtightened. Make sure the power cord is not damaged and correctly plugged into the electrical outlet and appliance.

I don’t know why I didn’t get this sooner. Comes with bags, a sealing tube for containers, the vacuum sealer and cord. So easy to use but it has a QR code to scan to watch a video on how to use it. I love the seal function because it can seal other bags like chips that aren’t finished. It’s an amazing value for the product that you get. Super light and compact and can fit in my drawer, it doesn’t take up alot of space and it’s not super noisy. Seals in seconds. It also has saved me lots of freezer space by making things more compact. The food doesn’t get freezer burn. I am so glad that I got this. Very good product it sealed really good

It was a good product it did good it wasn't cheap looking in it had really strong bags it sealed properly it had a good heat seal on it I'm better than what any other one would be that we've used this one is perfect it sealed perfectly it's filled it tied it kept it see him instead of coming open later on in the freezer it stayed sealed the food stage good so it was a good product like I said it's still good and then you can cut it off and the bag cutter was good it was really space saving and the portability was good it didn't take up too much space and the Steelers stayed on working all the time you didn't have to press on it really hard or you didn't have to hold it for a long time for it to start to seal you just put the bag in the sealer and press the sealed down and it was nice and tight ... show more

This is one EZ to use, well designed, inexpensive food saver you really should own!

Sometimes, good things do happen! Two days ago, I was standing in front of a huge bowl of mixed vegetables that I blanched, when one after the other, like a kitchen horror movie where no one dies, both of my food savers broke! I was so mad, I'm sure everyone could hear my scream from Boca Raton to Mara Lago! One was so old it weighed a ton! The other was all plastic. By 7 p.m. I was done; I was ready to toss out the whole project but got online for one more chance at saving the veggies by buying and one more food saver machine. In the middle of the higher priced items, I found this gem! I struck food saver gold! It arrived in a big heavy box, stuffed full of free different size bags and a very heavy super EZ to use machine that sucks so strongly, in sec., I could seal up anything, in seconds! My other two machines were finicky about vacuuming out the air if the plastic bag got wet one bit, not this bad boy! For the price I was expecting to strike out, to prove to myself that I should just give up on the whole idea of helping my two loves of my life, lose weight by adding in vegetables into their daily meal plans, which they hate anyway. Dogs, they know when mom is mad! Well, mom is very happy today since I went on a tear and sealed many things, all for them, from chicken to fish and even the 11 sweet potatoes I bought for $2. New to food saving, this is the best deal, on the planet! I swore I would never ever, do any of this, so I know exactly what a few of you are thinking. By me, farmers markets mark everything down right before closing and on Sunday nights, for the dollar table out front. Most of it is bruised but damaged in any way. Good but room for improvement

The size of the unit and suction was great. The only drawback was vacuum sealing moist or liquid items is not recommended. No drip tray in the unit so items should be frozen or dry to get great seal.

I've had this vacuum sealer for just shy of 3 years. I really haven't used it too terribly much until the last year or so. My dog has a really bad storage mite allergy, so I started vacuum sealing his very expensive food and putting it in the freezer. So here lately I have been using it a lot more. Over the weekend we processed 16 roosters and went to vacuum seal them and both my sealer and my mom's sealer were having issues. She used to have this same sealer but was having issues with hers so replaced it with another brand. Mine was melting the bags when it would seal half of the time, but we finally managed to get all the roosters ready for camp Kenmore. My dog is on a special diet right now to do a food trial, and today we finally get to add in our first protein to challenge. Since we just processed those roosters, his first challenge is chicken. I cooked one up in my instant pot, deboned it, and was going to vacuum seal 2.5oz portions for him. About halfway through I was done with this machine. The heat strip keeps separating from the machine. This results in either no seal, a melted seal that fails, or hot spots melting through the seal causing it to fail. Other than the heat strip, it is still vacuuming and all other features are working, but being able to seal is sort of an important feature. I've appreciated it over the last 3 years, but today I had to throw in the towel. I'm going to have to order another sealer. I have a whole bag of dog food I need to seal and there's simply no way I will be able to do it with this sealer. I've attached a picture to this review of how the heat strip is separating from the machine. I'm giving it 3 stars because it did work for a good while, but you definitely get what you pay for. If you want something that will last, you're going to have to spend a lot more money. I'm not sure how much I want to spend but I probably will get something nicer than this one. Another complaint I had is that it can be a challenge to close the lid and keep your bag in place. That's a feature I will be sure to research better for my next one. Overall, it was a good little machine and it had a good run, but for as much as we seem to be sealing lately I'm going to have to invest in something a bit more durable. ... show more

This is the best vacuum sealer machine I’ve owned, and this being my third one. It seals very well after vacuuming, and the bag cutter is a plus. It also comes with a tube to vacuum air out of vacuuming containers, which I don’t have yet. I read where it will vacuum seal a mason jar, not like canning but sealing to keep things fresher longer. This thing works! I've been hesitant ever buying one of these things because I never really thought they'd be that good. I've been trying to be better at saving money buying certain things in bulk and figured why not give this thing a try and see if it helps me out. I'm glad I did. I bought this one sale with a few rolls of bag film so that I could make my own size bags as needed. It has been a blast to use, and so far seem to do a fantastic job at what it is meant to do - SEAL the bags. I've packaged all kinds of meat (steak, burger, fish, chicken, turkey and pork). Not one issue with any of them. I've also packaged some things on a more temporary basis like vegetables just to see if it helped me extend their life - and it has. My freezer is now well stocked with proteins, and my fridge has a drawer full of fresh veggies that I indulge on when they are on sale and now can actually use before they go bad. Now, for the bad things about this unit - which I assume will be similar to ANY piece of equipment meant to do this same thing. 1) Make sure you dry out the inner part of the bag after you fill it where the seal is going to be. Even the slightest bit of moisture will prevent a good quality seal. Just do it, even if you don't think you need to. 2) The bag cutter works, but it's not the best in the world. Make sure you line it up straight, hold it down tight, and slowly cut across. No quick actions here, it's not a paper cutter! Be careful, and it works well. 3) Give it a rest period on large jobs. It does get hot and if you're filling 10 bags quickly it becomes hotter than I would like it to. Just give it a minute to cool down and I'm sure it will last a long time. I have never had it overheat, or stop working, I just noticed that it was warmer to the touch than I liked after abusing it with a counter full of steaks. 4) Clean it! It is a vacuum after all, and there is a possibility it sucks out some juice as it goes. I've only noticed a drop in the tray with all the meat I've done, but it was chicken juice and I wouldn't want that staying in there uncleaned. There is a small concaved chamber behind the sealer - just check it and make sure it's clean. You'll be happy you spent the 1.5 seconds to do so. 5) Not necessary, but I do with it came with a bag, or a case of some kind. Just to minimize any clutter. Definitely not a deal breaker, but just an idea for an upgraded model maybe :) All in all, I love it and wish I would have gotten one a lot earlier. ... show more

Good for the price
