🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Consumers have a mixed but overall positive view of this pool cleaning robot, praising its effectiveness in cleaning debris from the bottom of pools, its quick charging time, and ease of use. However, some concerns were noted about its durability and ability to clean corners or stairs. Overall, it's considered a good value for the price, especially for routine maintenance and basic cleaning tasks.

Pros

  • 🔋 Quick charging time and decent runtime of about an hour
  • 🧼 Effective at picking up a wide range of debris, including sand, leaves, and bugs
  • 👌 Easy to clean and operate
  • 💵 Good value for the price, considered an affordable option for pool maintenance
  • 🔄 Company offers replacements for units that fail

Cons

  • ⏳ Some units failed after a few months of use
  • 🧽 Struggles with cleaning stairs and corners of pools
  • 📏 No cleaning pattern, can miss spots requiring multiple runs

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for an affordable, basic pool cleaning solution and don't mind potentially needing to run it more than once to cover the whole pool, this pool cleaner is worth considering. It's especially suited for pools with a simple layout. However, be prepared for the possibility of durability issues, though the company seems willing to replace faulty units.

  • fast and reliable little robot with minimal maintenance.
Color: White
I am using this robot in a above ground 12,000-gallon, 24-ft diam. Esther Williams vinyl pool with a flat bottom. I’ve used it for a few weeks and so I can’t say anything about it’s longevity. But it works perfectly so far! I’d give it six stars if I could. The robot is very easy to set up and maintain and so far very reliable in picking up everything at the bottom of the pool, leaving it spotless. This is a fast little robot that zips all over the pool bottom and so the motors deliver a good thrust. The robot I had before which was significantly more expensive, was sluggish, took forever to decide when it was going the change direction, and was prone to stopping halfway through a job, and I only had it a couple years. You certainly can’t beat this model for the price. It is very nicely design engineered. ... show more

  • Better than expected.
Color: Gray
Left a mess just for this thing. Charged it fully before first use. No pattern or direction. This thing bounced all over the place. Regardless, it covered the whole pool and left no mess. It picked up EVERYTHING. Good suction. Lasted a few minutes longer than 90. Hope it maintains. Well see. I have a 18' round x 4' deep above ground pool. Easy to remove and clean. Worth it! ... show more

  • It's all about expectations

I was on the fence about ordering this or any pool vacuum robot. I read a lot of reviews and knew that I didn't want to spend 500-1000 on one when in reality I could just vacuum the pool myself..... But there is something to be said for the convenience of not having to do that if you can find the right price point. I think this particular robot is right in the sweet spot. I got this for under 200.00 and after reading and watching a lot of reviews decided to order it. Now not all the reviews I read and watched were positive. One flat out said this thing didn't work, doesn't suck up sand, won't clean the bottom, just bumps around, not enough battery life etc. That simply isn't accurate if you use this robot for what it really is. The pics I attached were the second time I pulled it out of the water when it was done. The first time had double what it is showing in the tray. My pool gets pine needles in it and this picked up all of the ones that had sunk to the floor along with all the dirt and silt. Now in some cases it took multiple passes for it to clear up all the small deposits of dirt but it eventually did it and what do I care how many times it has to run it over as long as it gets it? It ran for 90 minutes which is more than enough time to do my pool. As you will see in the photo mine is a flat bottom pool that is 12x24. There is no slope. There are two drains in the middle of the pool, the robot goes right over/around them. It does do an erratic pattern around the pool as it does not map it but it manages to get the whole thing. I did notice that I had to turn my pump off because the return was causing too much current when the robot was trying to come back towards it. This is a great cordless robot, that is small, lightweight, easy to operate, easy to clean and does a more than adequate job if you utilize it in the type of pool it's meant to be in and have realistic expectations of how it should perform. If you are expecting the performance of a 1000 robot vac that is going to filter your water and drive up the walls and go in a nice straight lines back and forth and can run for 4 hours to clean your 40 foot pool then you are setting yourself up to be disappointed. If you are looking for a solid little vac that will be great for regular maintenance vacuuming and opening up the pool but you know you might still need to tidy up a spot or two here and there or go in and give it one good vac or scrub each month then this is a great deal and worth the buy. ... show more

  • Lasted just over 3 months

Let’s start by saying it worked ok while it was working. It was quick to charge, easy to turn on and drop in the pool. When you first try to put it in the water you have to push down a little on the machine so it fills with water, that’s what forces the machine to go to the bottom of the pool. Once it gets to the bottom, it takes off! There is no pattern or certain path this machine cleans, one second it will be on one side of the pool and the next it’s on the other side. When it dies you simply use the hook that was provided (pole not included) and grab it by the handle and pull it up. Advice, this is something I learned after the first couple uses. When you pull the vacuum up make sure you grab it and take it out of the pool right away. I know it’s full of water but it’s also full of the sand, leafs, ect it picked up. When you let it hang and try to drain the water out of it, the debris it picked up then drains out with the water and is right back in the pool. Yeah wish someone would have told me this. Disassembling it and cleaning it is a breeze. I would rinse it all out and lay it on the outside table to dry. Once completely tried, make sure it’s completely dry, plug it in and let it recharge. As far as the job it does. I have a 24 ft. x 12 ft. x 52 in. Rectangular Intex pool, so pretty large. I found that since the machine has no pattern and it goes all over the place I have to run the machine twice, dropped at each end to get both sides of the pool. The machine does not do the corners of the pool very well at all. I don’t think it’s necessary the machines fault rather than the shape of my pool. I have to use a separate stick vacuum to clean the corners. I do remove my ladder when I use the machine since if it bumps into it, it turns around. Though it sounds like a bunch of negatives, I will say it does pick up quite a bit of things. I am always surprised when I open it up to see the sand, leafs, hair and bugs in it. Ok now to the part where it completely stopped working after having it for a little over 3 months! First off make sure you buy the warranty guys. On the day it stopped working I used it, did the normal steps and went to plug it in. It wasn’t charging. Unplugged, plugged back in and still nothing. Checked cord, everything was fine. I push the power button and it turned on and appeared to be charging. Within a minute it started blinking between red and green and wouldn’t charge. I called the number provided and told them what was going on. They asked me where I purchased it and how long ago. I told them Amazon, the date and that I purchased the extra warranty. They told me to get ahold of Amazon and return it through them. Yeah totally passed me off, so I did. Thank goodness Amazon is easy to deal with. I returned it. A few days later I decided to purchase another. I know, I know, I had bad luck with the first one. After doing some more research I found this was supposed to be the best one within my price range . I have had the other now for 3+ months and it’s still working. I will update if that changes. I would recommend this pool cleaner even with all the negatives because when it’s working it’s pretty good at its job and makes cleaning the pool a little easier. ... show more
