I was a little skeptical about purchasing a refurbished MacBook, so I decided to wait several weeks before putting out a review. I was totally impressed with this purchase. I almost went with either a 2021 MacBook Pro, or a 2024 MacBook Air when I saw this on the list. While it was not in original packing, it was very well packed with an inflatable air packer. The power cord was an original Apple brand. This laptop looked brand new; not even the tiniest scratch and it still has a year and a half left of Apple Care. I heard some reviews about the 2022 MacBook Pro that were not very flattering, such as the fact that the camera is 720p while the MacBook Air is 1080p. I'm not interested in using this MacBook Pro for video conferencing, so the camera was of little importance. I've worked with a couple of MacBook Pros in the past and have always been impressed with them. Now I understand that this is not a gaming laptop, but it wasn't designed to be such. My purpose is to use it with photo editing. I have a couple of editing programs that just would not work well on my 2014 MacBook Pro. So along came this one and it's incredible. The M2 processor is fast and makes photo editing easy. The cycle count of the battery as I write is 8, but as I purchased this 7 weeks ago, I suspect that the count was either 4 or 5. And speaking about the battery, the life of this one is tremendous! I think it's advertised as having up to 24 hours on a charge depending on its use. It's definitely at least that! It also came with a Touch Bar, probably the last of a dying breed. The Touch Bar was not a make or break issue, but I do like it, especially adding Pock to make it more versatile. A first, I was a little disappointed that it didn't have the usual ports that I have been accustomed to. There are two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, I did purchase a USB hub for it and it works just fine. The price was excellent. A new MacBook Pro was simply out of my price range. I've had a 13" and a 16" MacBook in the past and I just like the 13" for its compact size. If you're looking for a decent MacBook Pro but don't want to break the bank, then you will not be disappointed. I'm sure the newer MacBook Air is a wonderful machine, but I like the Pro and am totally satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

I understand this is a refurbished item. So I wasn’t bothered by the small scuffs and scratches that came with the product. (That’s to be expected) However, as soon as I started using the keyboard, the cap locks button popped off. (Other keys seemed loose as well) I contacted Amazon who told me I needed to contact the seller directly since it was third party. They responded very quickly with a response. We had a small back and forth trying to diagnose the problem but, once I sent a photo over with the issue, they stopped responding to me. I understand it is refurbished, and that the key isn’t an issue preventing me from using the laptop, but I still paid a good amount of money for it. I expect it to at least show up with everything together. I also didn’t appreciate customer service just ignoring me once the problem was presented. Not sure of what other issues may be lying in wait down the line. Given how awful my experience was with customer service, I’m sending this back and just buying a new one for slightly more so as to not have to deal with future headaches with possibly no customer service to help. ... show more

It was advertised as excellent condition and I feel that the MacBook I received lives up to the claim. Only thing that was off putting was when I turned it on it was already in Spanish and wasn’t giving United States for a region to select… I had to struggle through getting through the setup in Spanish and then managed to change the system language to English in the settings. I did find that strange, but since everything else seems good otherwise, I’m satisfied overall. ... show more
