I finally decided to purchase because I’m driving the car more frequently and I really wanted CarPlay. So, not long at all after I ordered it, the seller messaged me asking for my vin so they could pre-program. I copied and pasted from my insurance and sent it right over. It shipped soon after and I received it earlier this week. Today, I decided to install it. Advice…take your time. Watch the video on YouTube. Start to finish for me was less than an hour. Final result/opinion…AWESOME! It booted up no problem and the map was locked in on the gps instantly. I love this thing! It modernized the car and gives me every option of a new vehicle. It even connects to my home Wi-Fi and auto-checks for updates. 10/10! AWESOME! Love It! ... show more

The system has some type of phantom touchscreen glitch when using CarPlay and it’s clicking buttons all over the place and swapping screens on me pretty sure there’s something going on behind the OS Company reached out to troubleshoot the problem. We settled on faulty touch screen, they shipped a new screen in like 3 days from Hong Kong! works perfectly now! although i did not ever get those sweet gloves lol! ... show more

Update: Just about 2 months later this is just awesome. I actually have 4 mapping applications to choose from: Ford maps, Apple, Google, Waze. And 3 of those are always up to date. I love being able to listen to my radio (or spotify) while having waze maps/alerts at the same time. Everything just works. Original: I have a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Sync 2 and navigation. My wife bought this for my birthday since I plan to own the car for awhile. She thought this might give the car a newer feel. Result: To be honest, I am terrible with car related/manual dexterity - anything. The short version is I had this installed in about 1.5 hours and it's working perfectly. I now have waze, spotify, pandora, MS teams, google maps, webex and a number of other applications available on my screen. I now have 3 different ways to see maps: Waze, Google, and the included Ford NAV maps. It's awesome! Pre-Install: My wife gave the seller my VIN# which and they pre-programmed the unit before shipping. About the install: Everything you need is included in the kit. If you can use a screwdriver to remove 8-10 screws, and pry up a few pieces of trim (with the included tools), then you can install this. Everything else just plugs in. If I had to do it again, it would take me about 30 minutes. Trust me when I say this is not hard. I was also worried about losing functionality - will my heated seat buttons work afterwards, will the buttons on my steering wheel for the radio still work? I am happy to say all of the previous buttons worked as they did before. One very important point to note: The video suggests you put the GPS over the steering column. Don't do that as it was a lot of effort. Instead take the heating duct cover off (it's just 4 screws) and place the GPS module on top of the vent. Pop the vent cover back on. There was a separate video I found showing how to do that "alternate GPS antenna replacement". Overall: This worked better than I could have hoped. It's only been installed for 1 day so we'll see. I had been wanting to upgrade from sync 2 to sync 3 for a while now, but couldn't justify the kits at $1.9k for my 2013 Ford Fusion. This kit was under $800 and includes nav. I figured since it was though Amazon my only real risk was time so I ordered it. I contacted the seller after the purchase and provided my VIN. They programmed it and shipped it same day. Everything was well packed and there was no damage to the package. The install was exactly as expected, I just followed a youtube video and everything worked. For those more technical: I was getting a DTC code on the unit saying the configuration was invalid. After emailing the tech they emailed me a new as-built file and it cleared the code. Everything seemed to work fine even with the DTC code, but I wanted to address it anyways. A+ for the tech I worked with. I contacted them late on a Friday and they had the file for me on Tuesday morning. ... show more
