  • Amazing Card
I will be pretty short here, as there is a TON of information already out there for it, and I will avoid stating the obvious (scalpers and spending too much, blah blah blah)... Purchased at 799$ MSRP is an absolute steal for the performance of this card, unless you already have a 2080TI, in which case I would advise you to skip out this gen. Here are some notes/considerations for you: -It performs as advertised. paired with a 4K monitor, I have only found 1 game that doesn't consistently exceed 60FPS and that is Microsoft Flight Simulator. Having said that, its pretty pointless to use that product above 60, and it more than playable even at 40FPS..Besides, I average mid 50's (solid 60FPS when outside big cities) with nearly all 4k settings maxed across the board. -I woudnt worry too much about it only having 10GB of VRAM. The GDDR6X is so much faster than regular GDDR6 that I genuinely dont think it will be an issue for years to come. Even MSFS was only using 6GB in 4k at most in my tests. -The Power Connector.. The GPU comes with a 2 node adapter as most of us don't have the connector required for this card. you MUST plug the split into 2 separate cables from the PSU, DO NOT daisy chain it... A single cable on most power supplies isn't designed to pump the amount of juice this card needs on a single cable, and you risk your card underperforming at best, and burning down your house at worst, with a fried PC somewhere in-between... -Final consideration.... There has been a LOT of talk about heat... Here's a simple way to look at it. This GPU automatically boosts the clock speed when needed, until it reaches 78 Celsius.. If your case setup cant maintain this card at that temperature, it will cut down the boost, and may get a little jittery in the process... I would make sure that you are feeding it with as much fresh air as possible. If you have a front mounted radiator for CPU cooling, I would suggest maybe moving it to the top and adding in flow fans in the front, so that the GPU isnt eating radiator exhaust. I had this mentioned setup, and ended up being ok after I pumped up the fan curves on my radiator. If you have a small case without good airflow, I don't know what to tell you, but good luck! ... show more

  • Refurbished it great!
Works great! I picked the 3080 over a 40 or 50 series because it doesn't rely on frame generation.

  • its a desirable product despite awful thermal pads internally
High performance, however like many other retailers this 3080 model and edition doesn't have substantial thermal padding. This card is best used by enthusiasts or miners, and if you use them like that they will heat up. I don't care about what they're rated for, if you want it to last then the vram temperature should be running below 90 degrees Celsius. If you get one that runs hot, you're gonna have to replace the thermal pads yourself, there are plently of kits out there that you can buy. Note that opening the graphics card voids any warranties so its a huge liability if you don't plan on using the card or if its just broken. I didn't have any problems with my 3 cards, they arrived in the original packaging albeit worn. So. That means we can rate the product based on what is in the box. Each graphics card will run at different temperatures and these ones are supposedly rated to throttle performance at high temperatures (110 degrees Celsius) but they could have just put in better pads and it would run below 80 degrees at max performance in the vram memory (the hot part of the card by the display ports). Thats why this is 4 stars for me because the product is desirable, especially from a mining crypto perspective, so i will be using these. BUT the liabilities with the returns policy (50% if you open the box) and just the poor design choice of throttling performance instead of addressing temps caused by awful thermal pads, one could argue 3 stars or less. I didn't have any problems with retail for my orders, though some cards run above 94 degrees in VRAM with my optimized miner settings only 70% power and its just shabby cause of how easy it is to fix myself with an hour of time if i voided the warranty and opened up one of these bad boys. Cards will wear out within 3 years at best when above temperatures of 95 for these 3080 models ore at least that is my estimate. If you don't replace the thermals so if you wanted to resell or give it to your friend when you're done using it FYI. I'm just a hobbyist so take my advice and if you're interested in 3080s this one has a thermal problem just like the Gigabytes and the MSIs. if you are worried about temps and you live in a hot area either replace the pads yourself or get an FTW3 or an asus or an evga if you're looking at nvidia 3080s without temp issues. i don't recommend 3080s if youre a performance gamer, get the 3070ti. if u are an economy gamer, get a 3060. i've used a 2080 for 4 years and it runs all these most visually demanding games just fine, 3060 is better than that. Make sure your other pc components aren't throttling performance of your nvidia 3000 series or you won't get best FPS, also temperature/performance throttling occurs at 95 degrees temp on the VRAM. hope this review helps, give it a thumbs up if it did TLDR - thermal pads bad sometimes - 3080 founders edition performance more than enough -my price im recommending for 1000$ -4000 series inbound, if you're in the market for this card then consider newer items because its not good value unless youre a crypto miner and even then there are drawbacks like ETH merge to proof of stake. ... show more

  • Upgraded from 2080 Super
My 2080 Super malfunctioned on me and I troubleshot everything before realizing I was going to have to drop some dollar bills on a new GPU. I have an Alienware aurora r11 with limited space inside, so I can’t go for anything larger than the 3000 series GPU. This 3080 was in my price range and does not disappoint. I am playing on high or ultra settings on everything except Alan Wake 2 ☺️. I love Alan wake 2 but they demand A LOT out of a pc and I am not going to lose sleep over not seeing the light reflect from a sign across the street onto a water puddle. Without ray tracing can max AW2 and get 100+fps! Would buy from this seller again. ... show more

  • Supposed to be new, but they work. Should work good for gaming.
The product was supposed to be new but it was used. The graphics cards came by themselves in bubble wrap, when I unpackaged them. When I ran the cards I can tell they’ve been mined with before. They cleaned it well though. I’m mining with them so I hope they don’t die soon on me.

  • Handles Everything
I bought this GPU from a reseller but they seemed to have cleaned it thoroughly. I've had it for about a couple months now and gaming at 1440p, paired with a 5600x has been a pleasure. In Dirt 5, it almost reaches the 165 Hz refresh rate of my monitor consistently but I'm thankful for VRR and G-Sync for when it doesn't. If you can find this GPU for ~$500 I'd say go for it. ... show more
