  • great chair
loved the chair but to small for my husband

  • False advertising
The media could not be loaded. Nothing on the item reflected the brand of “Hawk,” instead it is a Majestic brand chair. Immediately upon receiving, I contacted ComfyGo and reported a power issue plus the fact that it was a Majestic brand item instead of Hawk. The Comfygo rep did not offer assistance with the power issue, but assured me that this “Majestic” model is the same model as the Hawk item, and that a restocking fee of 20-50% would be charged if I returned it. Not a great way to get introduced. I resolved the power issue, by seeing that the power cord runs to the battery slot on the right hand side only. I then discovered that the chair would not lock into the upright position, making it unsafe if weight is applied to the armrests when getting in or out of the chair. I requested a defect return. Comfygo created a return label, but Comfygo is also the destination receiver on the label. Since the company shipped a differently branded item, I decided it would be unwise to trust the same company to confirm or deny the defect in the chair. A return would put me at risk of being penalized 50% of the cost if ComfyGo denied the defect. I choose to keep the chair rather than taking that risk. The chair is 38 lbs without batteries and peripherals (the control-arm/joystick and the charger). Actual seat width of the chair frame is only 14”, but the removable sturdy cushion overlaps the frame by a couple of inches on each side to reach the advertised seat width. The seat cushion must be removed each time, in order to fold up the chair. My particular chair flexes with the terrain when riding, but that might be due to the defect of locking-pins, therefore non-defective chairs might not have that problem. Once the chair is folded up, it lacks any convenient handle near the wheelbase for gripping it when lifting the chair in or out of a trunk. Adjustable speed/power of the chair is good, and each of the batteries holds plenty of charge. While the seat cushion is comfortable to me, you will want to add a small cushion to the back, as the chair offers almost nothing to cushion the rider’s back. The batteries remove easily, do not lock back into place easily when inserted, instead requiring very strong pressure to engage. That difficulty detracts somewhat from the appeal of the light weight, since I have been removing the batteries each time before loading it into the trunk, to reduce the lifting weight. The batteries are several pounds each. Overall it doesn’t feel as sturdy as I expected, but that might be a trade-off for the relatively light weight. I would recommend buying directly from Amazon to avoid the issues I had with ComfyGo. The chair is useful, and I don’t mind getting the “short end of the stick,” as they say, but I would not want other buyers to be unaware of my own experience. Even with the defective locking-pins, this chair is useful, but I personally would not want to purchase anything directly from this company again. EDIT: Seller offered partial refund to remove “the bad feedback.” I don’t mind someone taking advantage of me, but I do mind someone taking advantage of others. Therefore I will not edit my honest review of the product nor my experience with the seller. ... show more

  • So easy to use !
Color: Silver
I like the convenience of folding it up, and putting it in my trunk. So easy to take out batteries, and that makes it even lighter. A great chair with a great price.

  • Not happy
Ordered the ComfyGo IQ-7000 auto fold from Factory Pure and when it came, one of the motors didn’t work, which did not evoke confidence in the product right out of the box. I had to pack it back up and ship it back. They sent me another one, directly from ComfyGo, but I noticed that it seemed skinnier and the backrest didn’t cover the back like the 1st one. I measured the width of the seat between the armrests and found it only measured 17.25” and it should be 19”. I complained and found that the “creative “ way they measure the width is from the outside edge of the posts that are under/holding up the armrests (at the back) and not between the armrests themselves. You lose about an inch and a half so that at the smallest part at the front that your butt has to go through to sit down, is only that 17”. They insisted that all of this model seat area is exactly the same, so I couldn’t possibly have a smaller one, even though I sent pictures of the measurements. They tried to tell me I wasn’t seeing what was clearly seen. There is also a discrepancy on the different websites concerning the weight capacity. Some say 350 lb and some say 365lbs, but in the owners manual it says 330 lbs. These things matter, because I weigh over 300 lbs and my butt barely squeezes into the actual width of 17”. They will not accept returns, so I’m stuck with a very uncomfortable wheelchair which I paid over $2500 including the warranty. I spent a lot of time looking for the right chair, and if I had known how small the seat was, or how they conveniently measured to fit virtually any size up to 22” if you measured from the outside edges of the armrests…I wouldn’t have purchased it. In my opinion, this company is without integrity, and I will not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Very good chair
To preface, I bought the same model direct from the manufacturer in china so my review won't be verified but I still thought I should share my experience as there are so few reviews. I have only had this chair for about a month and as an ambulatory wheelchair user (I can walk short distances) that means I have only gone on a few excursions but yesterday I went on a hike and it did awesome. It managed fairly loose gravel, natural cobblestone like rocks sticking up and even a steep hill covered in gravel. Around town there are some cracks in the sidewalk too big for me to get over so if I couldn't walk and manually push over those I would need to backtrack (though this is true of probably all chairs except stair climbers). It is very easy to use and comfortable. It is way too heavy for me to lift but my friend gets it into and out of the car without much seeming difficulty. Finally I want to point out that the negative review here is for a different chair. If you watch his video the locking mechanism is completely different than the one in the description. ... show more
