The ASUS Newest Vivobook 16 Laptop features a 16 FHD display, powered by AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor, which outperforms the i7-1195G7. It comes with 24GB RAM and 1TB SSD for storage, integrated AMD Radeon Graphics for smooth visuals, WiFi 6 for fast internet connectivity, a chiclet keyboard for comfortable typing, HDMI port for external display connections, runs on Windows 11 Home, and includes a laptop stand.

Yes, the ASUS Vivobook 16 is suited for light to moderate gaming and graphic design tasks. Its AMD Radeon Graphics and AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor, combined with 24GB RAM, ensure smooth performance for most applications and games. However, for very high-end gaming or professional-level graphic design, a dedicated gaming or workstation laptop might be more appropriate.

The ASUS Vivobook 16 comes with a 1TB SSD, which offers ample storage for most users. While the product listing does not specify expandability options, many laptops allow users to replace the SSD or add an additional one if there is an extra slot available. It's best to consult the official ASUS documentation or customer support for specific upgrade capabilities.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor in the ASUS Vivobook 16 is designed to beat the performance of the Intel i7-1195G7. It generally offers better multitasking capabilities and efficiency thanks to its higher number of cores and threads. This results in smoother performance in complex tasks and applications, making it a great choice for users who need a powerful multitasking and multimedia laptop.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

This laptop garners mixed reviews, praised for its adequate performance for basic tasks such as web browsing, document editing, and light school work. Despite not being the fastest option on the market, it is appreciated for its budget-friendly price, sufficient storage, and included software like Microsoft Office 365. However, criticisms include its subpar gaming and video editing capabilities, misleading advertisements regarding specifications, and some units possibly being previously used.

  • 💼 Comes with 1 year of Microsoft Office 365
  • 🔋 Decent battery life for light usage
  • 💲 Good value for the price
  • 🎒 Lightweight and easy to carry

Cons

Should I Buy It?

If you're in need of a lightweight, budget-friendly laptop for basic tasks and school work, this could be a good choice. However, if your needs include gaming, heavy multitasking, or video editing, you might want to consider looking for a more powerful option. Additionally, be cautious of potential issues with misleading advertisements and the chance of receiving a previously used product.

  • It works
Style: ASUS Laptop
This computer works for what I need. Inuse it for work and personal. It is not the fastest but not the slowest either. It is sufficient for my needs.

  • Nice little lap top
Style: ASUS Laptop
It may not be the fastest, fanciest, biggest or best but it works for a second computer for Facebook, surfing the net etc. so far so good no problems, I haven’t found any exterior damage and looked brand new. Pleased so far, if any problems arise in the future I’ll report back.

  • Great for simple usage
Style: ASUS Laptop
If you want to use this laptop for simple things like word doc editing, browsing the web, watching shows, etc, it's perfect. It doesn't have the CPU to run games and other intensive programs (ie video editing), but for the price, it's great.

  • Couldn’t be happier with my new laptop
Style: ASUS Laptop
It works amazingly! I’m a college student and i don’t need to use complicated apps on my laptop, just the basic ones. It’s fast and easy to use, plus it’s sooo lightweight i don’t have any problems carrying it around campus. 100% recommend if you need a good affordable laptop.

  • Perfect cheap college laptop!
Style: ASUS Laptop
I have used this laptop for 3 months now for school. This is a great deal for a college laptop. The battery lasts all day, easy set up, and it's pretty fast. It was a little slow before I started using it heavily, but now it works great.

  • Exactly what I ordered
Style: ASUS Laptop
This was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the 320gb rose gold laptop. The speeds are fine, most people don’t understand that 4gb of ram can only do so much. I bought this for school and because this came with 1 year of Microsoft office 365, which was an amazing add on. Overall, I’m extremely happy. Btw, if it is running slow, it could be because you took windows 11 out of “S” mode. I don’t recommend doing so if you want your laptop to run smoothly. ... show more

  • Not as advertised
Style: ASUS Laptop
Trying to get this returned. WAiting on REFUND. This is NOT a 2022 asus. It is a 2020 asus. Mine arrived apparently used by the way it was packaged and the fact someone else had programs on it. I have started a return for it because I paid for NEW computer with Windows 11 HOME not Windows 11 in S mode and it does come in S mode. The most annoying part is the yellow enter key (which also gives away the fact this is NOT a 2022 model as they do NOT have the yellow enter key) The battery is NOT 12 hours at all. You ar lucky to get 8 at a time unless you do nothing at all on it of course then it will last a little longer but I highly doubt it will last 12 hours even then. It does charge pretty fast though so I will give it that. But you definitely are NOT getting what is advertised And I have no idea why it asks for a rating on a touch screen when this does NOT have a touch screen And no it does not have backlit keys on the keyboard either. You can get a cheaper Asus 2020 with basiccally the same thing and it does not have 320 GB Storage either. It has at most 128 if even that. Don't believe everything this seller is trying to sell you on because you wont get it. Outside of the fact it is not as advertised if you want an entry level computer this would suffice but again remember, the battery does not hold a 12 hour charge and it does not have as much storage as it claims and you probably will get a used one. ... show more

  • It's alright. . .
Style: ASUS Laptop
I got this because my Chromebook kinda died, and I needed something to replace it quickly. I was originally super excited to get it, but then it came. It was easy to set up, but I'm not a huge fan of Windows. I think that's my biggest complaint. I had a Chromebook for several years and then a Mac at work. I've used Windows before, and I just don't really like it compared to Chrome or Mac. Having Windows is kind of a necessity for work and school, which is why I didn't get another Chromebook. The battery life is pretty good. I've been able to go a couple days without having to charge it if I'm not using it a lot. It starts up pretty quickly as well. It's not as slim as I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, it is slim, but it feels more boxy than I was expecting. Sound quality is good, I don't have any complaints about the video quality either. It is kind of slow though. I don't know if it's my internet, or the laptop itself, but videos take a while to load. As do some webpages. That isn't a problem I really had with my Chromebook, and I had the same internet then. UPDATE: It's not my internet. It's just slow. It doesn't matter if I'm using it at home, work, or school; it's just slow. It's most webpages that take quite a while to load. Now that I've had it for a few months, I can say it doesn't actually start up that quickly. My Chromebook was faster, even on its slower days. Long story short, I wouldn't buy this one again. I'd get a Chromebook or a Mac and deal with the minor inconveniences that they may have. ... show more
