    • Having 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD rules
Frankly, for all the miracle M1 talk about even 8Gb being plenty, I like to fully multitask and don't find even 16 GB to be sufficient. But the 32 gb RAM config PRO is very hard to find. The 8 core CPU runs a bit cooler, quieter, and longer on battery, with minimal performance difference. The 32 Gb RAM and 1TB SSD were most important. So that was my compromise. Rather than wait several weeks with Apple, I took a chance on an Apple reseller. Expercom delivered the config I wanted from Utah to California in 3 days. In fact It arrived the same day as another I had ordered locally. The unit was new, in the standard sealed Apple box. No problems, it's working great. It's funny that Apple had said that buying from anyone but Apple I might get me an older unit that was past the 60 day limit to add Applecare. I signed this MacPro up for Apple Care, without anything to suggest it was "old" or refurb'ed. So all in all it was a good experience, and I can recommend Expercom as a source. ... show more

Box sealed in plastic.. the computer wrapped in paper, the screen covered with protective paper.. the charger cable held with apples way of using cardboard.. and the block plug in charger was apple wrapped.. The laptop arrived in optimal conditions. At first, I wasn't sure whether to buy the 10-core version or the 8-core version. I finally purchased the 8-core version but added more RAM with the remaining budget. I couldn't be happier with this decision. The laptop works like a charm.

Battery life for its purpose has been meeting expectations; good It’s a laptop so for convenience sake it’s most definitely portable; great The lighting spectrum is wide in array; excellent.
