I waited and waited for Apple to offer an updated iPad Mini, but once it became obvious that this was still more than a year away I decided to buy a renewed Mini 5. I didn't want to pay the price of a "new" Mini 6, given that it really isn't new at all, but I needed something that would run updated software, which alas my original Mini can no longer do, although it still runs just fine. The Renewed Premium iPad Mini 5 proved to be an inspired choice. MUCH less expensive than a 6, but able to run the latest programs, to all intents and purposes it IS a new machine. I've had it for four months now and it still runs like new and like all Minis it fits neatly into my purse and doesn't feel like I'm lugging around a stripped down laptop. The charge lasts for several hours. The charging cord that came with it did stop working after about 2 months, but not issues with the ipad itself charging.
