  • Modified sine wave inverter. Good PD3.0 and QC3.0 for fast charging.
I will use this in my old Jeep Cherokee as I drive the back roads of the country. My main use is charging batteries for my chainsaw and a couple other power tools that have chargers requiring AC power. With this inverter I can arrive at camp the next evening ready to cut some more fire wood. While I wait for warmer weather and traveling season, I will use this at the cabin. I keep a battery in the corner of the living room connected to a battery maintainer. When the power goes out, this will keep the phone charged and run a small lamp for a few days. Before I placed my order I forgot to check if this is a pure sign wave or modified sine wave inverter. Later I discovered that important bit of information was not in the description. I sent the vendor a question and they quickly responded saying it was modified sine wave. Today I went back to the description and I see the vendor has added information. Cool! I tested the inverter's output when connected to a LiFePO4 battery. My oscilloscope confirms the AC output is indeed a modified sine wave and with a 13.3VDC input, the output was 116.7VAC. The "Fast 24W" USB A port works fine charging my S9 phone and my Fenix LD30 flashlight. I checked the charging protocols and see this port has no PD but does support QC2.0 and QC3.0. I only reached 9.12V at 0.67A (6.7W). I suspect the limiting factor was my old phone or USB cable. The other two USB A ports are basic and pumped out 5.17V at 0.72A (3.75W) as claimed. The USB C port supports PD3.0 up to 24.03 Watts (more than I need). Points of minor concern; 1) The cable to the cigarette lighter plug is only 17 inches long. So, it will not go under the seat where my old inverter lived. A bit awkward. I'll have to cut the cable off my old inverter and splice it onto this one. 2) The inverter is rated for 200W continuous and 400W peak. Therefore at 12V it can draw about 17 Amps continuously or about 33 Amps at peak power from your car. Unfortunately, that will blow the 20A fuse in most cars. (The inverter has no accessible fuse.) ... show more

  • Nice little inverter
This is a small, compact inverter that’s easy to fit almost anywhere. I’m currently using it inside a portable deployment box and the size makes it perfect for tight spaces. It powers up with a soft on/off button and runs quietly. No whining or strange behavior. I’ve used it to charge a Windows tablet and it provides a steady charge. The USB ports and the USB-C PD port also work exactly like they’re supposed to. Two small things I noticed: First, it doesn’t appear to have a no-load auto shutoff, so if you leave it turned on it will continue drawing power even when nothing is plugged in. Second, the USB ports only work when the inverter itself is turned on. It would be nice if those could operate independently. Other than that, it works exactly as expected. It’s compact, simple, and has been reliable so far. It's worth the price. ... show more

  • Multiple Charging Options and Visual Battery Voltage Indicator
The first thing I noticed when I plugged this in was the built-in voltmeter showing the vehicle’s input voltage. My truck had been sitting for a few weeks and the voltage was lower than expected, so having that display immediately visible was actually useful. It’s a simple feature, but it tells you right away what’s going on with your battery. In a 20-year-old truck, there are no USB, USB-C, or 110V outlets anywhere. This solves that problem. I can now charge my phone, a portable power pack, and even plug in my laptop while on the road. The mix of USB-A, USB-C, and standard AC outlets covers pretty much everything I carry. It is rated at 200W, which is important to understand. For basic electronics like phones, tablets, laptops, and small accessories, it works well. If you’re planning to run high-draw appliances, you’ll need something with more capacity. For everyday charging and light-duty use in an older vehicle, this is a really great fit. ... show more

  • Good power inverter for your vehicle
This power inverter is a great idea for traveling. It functions as a 120VAC power supply in a compact size, easy to put in the trunk or under the seat. At 200 watts, it won't power any high amperage devices, but it's great for plugging in USB cables (phone, tablet, etc) or powering a lamp or battery charger while camping. I would just have to guard against draining my vehicle's battery overnight. At its current price in the mid-$20s, it seems to be a pretty good value for the money. Recommended. ... show more

  • Handy for Small Devices and Travel, but Know Its Limits
The detailed feedback from other buyers was extremely helpful and honestly saved me the time of pushing this inverter to all of its technical limits. Knowing that it produces a modified sine wave makes a big difference—delicate electronics really shouldn’t be plugged directly into the AC outlets. In my experience, it’s far better suited for powering USB devices or simple chargers rather than connecting computers or sensitive gear. I keep it in my car for practical, light-duty use, and it performs well within that role. Realistically, drawing the full rated load would probably blow the vehicle’s fuse before the inverter’s own protection shuts things down, so expectations need to stay reasonable. For charging batteries, phones, or small accessories during trips, it does the job reliably. I also appreciate that it runs fairly quietly, which adds to the overall convenience even if road noise would hide it anyway. There are a few design choices that could be improved. The short input cable limits placement, and I would gladly trade that for a thicker, longer wire that could reach under a seat more comfortably. The LED display is a nice extra feature for monitoring voltage and wattage, though it’s not something I personally need to watch all the time. Overall, this compact 200W inverter is useful, lightweight, and reasonably versatile for low-power applications like charging phones, tablets, lights, or tool batteries on the road. It’s not ideal for sensitive electronics or high loads, but used within its intended purpose, it works well. Solid performance with a few compromises earns it four stars. ... show more
