The heater sent to me was obviously used: dirty, rusty and apparently run over as it was oval, not round. The batteries in the thermometer were dead and it too was dirty and scratched. Returning the heater and will see if the replacement is serviceable.

Just don't forget about it or you'll get boiling water lol. I use it to heat up cold water on the job site. Only issue is the cap at the end falls off easily, hence four stars.

Accomplished task of heating a 500gal baptistery. Used wood frame to support three 2000watt heaters. Required three heavy duty extension cords to find three circuits. Two heaters will trip a 20amp breaker. In three hours temp was raised from 64deg to 75deg.

The 2000W Immersion Water Heater, LISTENJIALE Submersible Water Heater works great for heating water quickly. I use two of them to bring a large tank of water to a rolling boil for tanning of large animal hides and cleaning of skulls for European mounts. They not only raise water temperature quickly but, can sustain temperature even in very cold outside temperatures. They are designed and manufactured very well and safe to allow them to be submersed without damage or safety issues. They are more energy efficient than the gas fired tanks I used previously and much safer. I'm very pleased with the 2000W Immersion Water Heater, LISTENJIALE Submersible Water Heater and consider them an excellent value!

I was skeptical on this one, figured it'd cost a pretty penny to warm up the kiddie pool (about 100 gallons), or that it would take forever, so of course I used SCIENCE! to test it. Plugged it in to a watt meter and put it in about a gallon of water, just to test it out. Turned it on, and wow was it warming up that bucket fast - ticking degrees up second-by-second. Graduated to the kiddie pool, which I took from 55°F to about 85°F over a few hours for around $1 in energy. So yeah, it takes a bit of time, but it doesn't cost *that much*, for the value that it provides. We've used it several times already this summer, and will likely continue. Your mileage may vary, of course, and depends heavily on energy costs and probably several other factors. I'm basing this off of about 16.5¢/kWh, with the average residential electricity rate in the US around 23¢ per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
