  • Code EH - no help from seller but manufacturer helped . 5 stars for manufacturer and 0 for seller.
EH code comes on about 30 seconds after the compressor kicks on - then everything shuts down. I've checked all connections, cut back on water flow, etc.. Water temp in pool is 72. Contacted the seller who wrote saying to contact Amazon. Amazon people had no idea about the EH code and said they would contact the seller and the seller would email me with 2-4 days. Instructions say nothing about what causes the EH code or what to do if it happens. It just says Unit Stop. Hopefully it's something simple and I'll give a 5 star. But if I have to repackage and send back (like I have to do with about 75% of my amazon orders) it will go down to a 1 star Edit 10-28-23. Still no response from anyone and the heater is now collecting spider webs because no word on a fix. Going to wait a few more days for a response from anyone then reduce to 1 star and return the stupid thing. Does anybody know what to do with the EH (high pressure) code? Anything will be better than this seller who is not reachable for any questions. What a pain is will be to package this thing up to return it. I suggest to anyone not to buy this thing. Edit 10-29-23. I finally emailed the manufacturer and they responded promptly. They apologized and said they never heard from Amazon or the Seller. But, they gave me instructions on what to do to fix this simple problem. Remove the lid and check the wiring SW1 from the control board. That wire was not even connected and just hanging there. I plugged it in and the heater now works! We will see how it heats the pool though. The water is 77 now and I have it programmed for 90 (it's getting up to 85 here in Louisiana today) so that will help the heat pump. I'll give the manufacturer a 5 star rating but the seller gets a 1 star. Hope this helps someone with the same problem. ... show more

  • Very pleased.
I have an Intex 9’ x 18’ foot pool, rated at 4,500 gallons (and admitted overfilled exceeding the 4,500 gallons). The pool comes with a pump and filter rated at 1,500 gallons / hour. I use a solar cover designed for the specific pool. I purchased and installed this ECO tech pool heater. Below are my experiences: - Using a homemade restrictor, I throttled back the flow from about 1,500 gallons per hour to about 750 gallons per hour. - Heater draws 7.5amps on 110 volts. - The heater has maintained the pool temperature at about 8 degrees above ambient average. (ambient outdoor temperature has varied between 60 degrees and 80 degrees, average is 70 degrees. Pool is maintained at 78 degrees). It’s key to note that the pool water temperature reported is fully circulated (top to bottom) and not just the surface temperature. - As the pool temperature was about 50 degrees when I started, it took almost a full week to achieve thermal equilibrium (i.e. the 8 degrees above ambient average). I purchased a second heater and run them in series. Pool temperature is maintained at about 16 degrees above ambient average. It’s currently cool here at this point in the year. Ambient average is around 70 degrees, pool temperature is maintained at around 85 degrees (fully circulated). It’s important to note that a solar cover is critical to the retention of heat. Without the cover, I seen little to no temperature gain during this time of the year. As I restricted the flow through the filter connected to the heating system, I added a second pump and filter system independent to the heating system to assist in keeping the pool clean. I’m very pleased with the performance that I’m seeing. Looking forward to it getting slightly warmer and the water hitting about 95 degrees. ... show more

  • Paper weight!
Unit was very easy to install and was hooked up in a matter of minutes. It’s been running for three days and has a raise the water temperature one single degree. I’m supplying 82° preheated water, and it still hasn’t raise the temperature. Furthermore, I tried to contact customer service and there is none. Amazon said they couldn’t give me the contact information and would send a message on my behalf. Still haven’t heard back from them. I’ll be returning this piece of crap especially since they don’t even have any customer support for the product first and last purchase. ... show more
