I read all the reviews before I bought this and one thing stood out, it cannot prevent people from doing stupid things like handling it like a gorilla, letting the poles slam back into the lower ones, etc. I love this thing and in addition to any photography uses I have I love that I can put my phone attachment (which fits into the equipped standard connector with no problem) and use my phone to take pictures/video of my 2nd story gutter to see if it needs cleaning (or to look at my roof after a hail storm), probably not one of the uses they expected but it saves me from paying out $$$ if they don't need cleaning (the wife has forbidden me to do it since an accident a few years ago messed my shoulder up). I have been experimenting with it using a motion detecting security camera which also attaches directly and it works great and adds another dimension to my home security but since I just wanted to see if adding a permanent pole in my yard would be worth the cost and this allowed me to test the idea. So, for me the many uses it has for my lifestyle makes this an easy 5 Star item. Highly recommended.

I own a video production company and was really exited about this stand until it arrived. It’s over 5’ tall in the bag alone. And sure it’s nice that it comes with a big and some empty bags to fill with sand or rocks or something. The spread of the base is insanely wide. I’ve actually never seen a spread so wide. It limits where you can put it. The knobs are all plastic and when you extend it even to half the height let alone full height the metal flexes and it either wobbles or bends. To me heavy duty is a Matthew’s high roller. And this is simply by far not that. I would not get this again.

This is a really nice, heavy duty stand for all kinds of uses! First off, it feels nicely made and doesn't feel cheap. It's strong and durable and I had no issues with it fully extended. It is large, but compact enough that it's pretty easy for me to take with me on the go. The best part of this stand is of course, the height it can reach which allows a lot of different possibilities when filming. It is very versatile in it's uses. All things considered, I really like this stand and it comes with me every time I go out to film!

Holy Moly this is AWESOME! I picked up this 20ft Heavy Duty Light Stand to be used with some of my Go Cams for some time-lapse videos. In the box, you get a large zippered case, a large stand, and several empty bags. The stand has 4 sections raising it up about 20 feet in the sky with a neck that's quite robust. The sandbags should appropriately be filled with rocks and sand to hold the stand in place while in use to avoid being toppled over. They state the weight limit is roughly 17 lbs but since I'm only mounting Go Cams they don't even come close to breaching that limit for me to tell you otherwise - I also don't want to test that with my expensive Z7ii or Z8 cameras. Overall, if you're in need of an exceptionally tall light stand or even a camera stand, this 20-foot extendable stand might be the right fit for your needs.

Tripod worked just fine the first time I used it. The second time I went to lower it and the second pole from the bottom went right through the main pole and broke the part that holds the legs together. Also the first tripod I received had to be returned because there was broken plastic.
