it was probably me, but I could not get this to work with a Chamberlain garage door system. The color reset button was purple on our system so this required a different level of programming which just made it harder. I tried both multiple times. I even looked up youtube videos. I ended going to Lowes and spending double on one item there, but it worked liked a charm with the click of two buttons. The return was easy so I thankful for that.     • Almost gave up on this remote, but then...!
Persistence saved a return and grouchy review from happening on this remote. The instructions are somewhat easy to understand, but the whole premise is based on a color table that should match your opener. So maybe...mine is not so new, but cars and other remotes have matched with it just fine. In the case of this device, the price was great, but it didn't work. I searched the web, went to the manufacturer of the garage door openers site and it looked like everything was correct--it should work, but doesn't. fine. Except a red/orange button or a purple button were at the core of the confusion. I looked at the manufacturers part number for the GDO and according to them I had a different color than what was on my device. Odd... so I used the color the manufacturer said I should have, and boom--it worked on the first try. Must have been a Friday when they put mine together. Anyway--it worked, the instructions were skim on troubleshooting, so I give it a 4 with room for improvement. Add the frequency used in your modes so people can match based on that if they look up their device online. ... show more
