Decent for what you are paying for. Not the highest quality when it comes to spacing and design but it comes together well. Directions aren't the best but not really needed if you are a bit savy (my son put it together and had never done anything like that before). I wouldn't max it out on weight but it is plenty fine for most jobs. Folds up neatly BUT there is nothing from keeping the horizontal legs folded up other than gravity so if it gets bumped a bit the legs will open up and damage whatever is in its path.

Good engine hoist for the price very cheap hardware, no instructions but easy to figure out, but if you want a more reliable lift get better hardware for it other than that it seems good for your average driveway mechanic

This costs almost 1/2 the price of an equivalent Harbor Freight Product; it sounded almost too good to be true. The good news is it went together fairly smoothly, and it appears to be functional. Some issues were that two bolts (#15 M16x110mm and#16 M14x110mm) were mislabeled, which caused delays. I posted some other comments in the pictures for smoother assembly. The only big issue is one Lock Pin 16x90mm did not have a hole drilled in it for the cotter pin. I contacted Garvee requesting a replacement part. The welds, finish and parts appear to be at least Harbot Freight quality. I will follow up if I ever receive the replacement pin.

Easy to assemble. First job was to get a Northstar Cadillac Engine and a 2008 DTS Transmission, out of the back of my Dodge Ram 1500, by myself, at 66 years old. As a teen, I've worked used many cherry pickers ( hoists ) that were not the most reliable, and were prone to tipping. Many had weights added to the rear for added stability. I grabbed the transmission first, knowing it was heavy and awkward too. Not like the transmissions of the 50's - 70's... I used to pull them and walk away with them. Not this one. Then came the engine. That balance transfer item work fantastic. Well Built for me. Not afraid to use it by myself again. Although I was outside my own garage, on concrete, it probably has a 4" slope or drop for runoff. I am glad I purchased this hoist, from this seller!

Weld's are sloppy paint all messed up. Company needs qualified welders.

This lift has saved me many a sore back and strained muscle. I am surprised at how often I use this in my shop,I have always just wrestled and lifted heavy stuff and get er done… not anymore, using the lift is a lot safer and better for any job.

Good hoist for the price. The good: Nice finish Well packed Good price Once assembled it was very sturdy and easily adjustable Folds up nicely The not so good Directions were horrible Directions were wrong in areas concerning Hardware Hardware did not contain enough washers (more washers were needed than indicated in directions) Directions had flat bolts inserted the wrong direction so that the legs didn't sit flat causing rods to not insert Strap supports fit poorly Directions indicated bolts but bugle head screws were supplied (not sure of their strength)

Exactly as described. Well finished and easy to assemble. Folds up and stores great. Good steel wheels. Delivery was a different story. Looks like it fell off the back of the UPS truck and rolled a couple times. Then they bagged it up in some nylon poly bag and lots of tape and plastic banding. Parts sticking out. Original box was confetti. Amazingly they managed to keep all the hardware together. Nothing missing. By the way keep a picture for reference. Instructions are the worst. Glad I have owned a few before this one.
