I've made multiple purchases of the two pack of the 8 by 12 black acrylic and it is by far worth the money when we're talking less than $4 per unit. starting with the packaging is really nice at the corners have these little plastic covers protecting them the entire thing is covered in cellophane and each individual unit has masking paper adhered to both sides. additionally the masking paper is very easy to remove especially when it needs to be done between cutting and engraving (especially in my case where I don't want the laser head to move and I want to keep the pieces of acrylic in the exact same space). Using the recommended settings for my 10W diode laser, I was able to get very clean cuts with three passes, 8mm/s and 80% power. (Tip: Remember to turn down air assist to 20-25% or less of the maximum value for optimal results). One style then I've also got a very good results engraving although I've primarily been cutting. finally I was presently surprised that even though that the material is black it definitely is easy to spray paint on any color and it dries very quickly and has a very nice end result especially with a nice thin single layer of paint if you have decent paint. finishing it with a quick sealer has made some of the stuff that I made thus far last the entire time as well as make it through getting wet and dropping getting dirt and dust and other grime on it. Not that it's a big deal but my only complaint is that I wish the individual sheets were larger size and that you could buy larger packs other than that I have absolutely loved working with this material.

I bought these because I wanted to use metallic and glow in the dark paint on it. And I figured because it was black it would work really really well and it did not disappoint. I use both acrylic and oil paint pens and I have to say the acrylic work better on this material. The oil took longer to dry and you have to be very careful but the finished product is really really nice I definitely recommend these pieces I wish you just got more in each pack. But the size is great the thickness was cool and was easy to use

I'm cutting and engraving this acrylic with an Xtool 40 watt S1. I've tried some of the cheaper acrylics and had bad cuts, very brittle and rough. I don't think those were cast acrylic as this is. I ran one test cut file 5 X5 for power and speed and dialed it right in to a perfect cut. Not brittle and very smooth. Spend the extra few $ for much better results!
