Update: included a pic so you can see wht I did with these. It has been very windy but they have stayed up and from the street look pretty okay. I didn't want to spring for glass panes, but I did want to protect the property for the owner. Update: I went over the 'seam' between the four plus pieces with clear tape to keep them steady during wind and rain. They seem pretty durable. I will try to put up some pics of the window that I used these on, making a 'pane' out of four. ... I used these to create a barrier between the screen of a window on a patio of a neighboring house and the inside. The glass had been knocked out so I used a little more than four of these for each window. They work well. I stapled the pieces together and then duck taped them along the outside and they look nice. Clear, see through. Remember to peel the 'backing' off them. It makes a difference in their clarity. I would recommend these. So far they have stood up to rain and wind. I used tape that matched the silver pane holder so it seems to fit in better. Keeps the rain out and the cold for the upcoming winter.

These are some really nice sheets of plastic! They came well packaged, and I feel like you can tell they're pretty good quality. However, I did a dumb and wasn't paying attention to their stated thickness (I was needing something that was closer to a quarter inch thick); so these weren't 100% what I was looking for. But they will definitely make good acrylic sheets for some other project! The one thing I did find in experimenting with these was that if you try to cut them with scissors (probably just a dumb thing to do in general, but like, live and learn), they might shatter just a little bit. Not the whole piece, but some chunks of it. I had better luck with an exacto knife, going over the lines I wanted to cut out a few times. So, the moral of the story is that these are good quality acrylic sheets, but they're rather thin, so be aware of which ones you're buying; and if you need to cut them at all, try a really sharp blade before you resort to the scissors. Lol.

Previously had a pack of these that were labeled 0.03 inch, and they were great (and less expensive). I wanted something a little thicker so I bought this 0.04 inch 10-pack, but they are EXACTLY the same size as the previous ones. I measured both with a micrometer, and both are exactly 0.03 inches thick. If you're looking for 0.04 inches, these are NOT what you want. And if you want 0.03 inch thickness, there are cheaper options out there.

I had a frame, but no glass. Hence I needed to hang up a family portrait, so the solution was to get the glass. The frame was a favorite of mine, but I think it was originally intended for a painting. I was looking to buy some glass from Home Depot, but by sheer chance I saw this option, and I am so glad that I did. Today the family portrait is nicely hanging in my living room. And since I have the glass, I might try my hand and make a few frames with some trim and wood I have lying around.
