Got this to replace an old outdoor sconce light at my mom's place. I was skeptical of replacing a really bright dusk til dawn bulb that produced more lumens. But once I installed it and it automatically turned on as the sun went down, I was overly impressed. The light itself is on the heavier side. Luckily I had a 4' x1' cardboard box that was just about the right size, to hold up the light, while I connected the wires. I had a heck of a time due to tight constraints, I was only able to screw one of the two bolts that attach the light frame to the fixture. However, it's actually quite solidly held in place, when I tried to apply pressure. I'm only giving 4/5 stars, because I just don't know about the longevity of the product and how long it'll last. I try to give my most accurate assessment as I can, as so many people just rave about a product and 12 months later that product fails. Hopefully I'll remember to follow up in a year and then maybe increase it to 5. Really attractive design though. It really produces a good area of light, so much better than the old light. ... show more

I bought 2 boxes of these, total 4. I installed 2 of them and let me tell you installing this thing is not an easy job, you definitely need a 2nd person to help you because the leads are a bit short and there is no way to "hang" it while you are working on it. I managed to get them installed without incident, but there is also an issue with the backing of these. It's mostly exposed, so you definitely need to waterproof it by sealing around and install it on a flat surface. I bought plastic mounts to make my wall perfectly level and then installed. Then there is an issue with the glass, one of them cracked on the side after I tightened the screw that goes on the mounting bracket. It was still loose so i didn't over tighten it, just enough so it wouldn't wobble, but few seconds after I was done, I heard a crack. I was hoping I could at least swap the glass from one side to another, but that's not possible either. For the price, they are fine, bright enough, and personally I like the color temperature, it's really nice and not like a parking lot feel, just don't expect you can service it, I really hope LEDs last long because I had to put a lot of time into these to get them installed just right. ... show more

Lights were well packaged, easy to put on with two people and nice and bright. We got these because they are solid on the bottom and not open for wasp nests. However tiny moths did get inside the glass on the first night. Still love them.

You are thinking it's a terrible idea to use this outdoor light inside, but the 80s, gold, junky (full of flies) light that came out of that spot disagrees. The only feature that I dislike is that there is no way to replace the led if it goes out, and it looked like an amber colored light in the product pictures (all customer supplied images were bright- I gambled). This is exactly what I needed. It was an easy install, but if you don't know what you're doing, I can see where you might strip something out. I was placing it in a fairly new construction, and it lined up after minor adjustment. 35 minutes might be too generous for the install, but there were 2 of us so someone held the light while the wires were tightened, ground was hooked up, and the circular wall mount was adjusted. ... show more
